Quick, if you don’t respond to this message, the whole ship will explode!

Okay, just kidding, but this is still important. I’m looking to put together some information on the crew, and I can’t do it without you pitching in.

Your answers are critical! Yes, even the last one.

I am certain that you will be receiving several reports about the Spacewalk mission. Regardless, this is what I have to say. I can also provide a complete video and audio recording, if you so wish.

The Spacewalk team consisted of myself, Carol Danvers (aka Ms Marvel), Major Motoko Kusanagi, Samus Aran, Dr. Luis Sera, and Wyn Callahan. Dustin Silver hacked through my post security and invited himself along, under the responsibility of the Major. We proceeded into the Spacewalk itself after it was flooded with atmosphere, after everyone put on an EVA suit and tethered themselves to each other. The Spacewalk is several hundred feet long, and we were a quarter of the way through when we discovered the first of the corpses. [Attachment: Alien corpse, visual examination] Brief scans were taken.

What happened next was my fault. I failed to take into effect the added pressure of the atmosphere when I set the power levels for the force shield generators. I set them too high, and two of the 'patches' tore the material between them apart. No one was harmed physically. However, I might suggest mental evaluations for Callahan and Silver. The corpses were lost to the Bleed.

After the hole was patched, and I would like to add that all fields have been rechecked and adjusted accordingly, there was some discussion. We decided to continue with the mission, scanning the Hydroponics area. The scans indicated that the size of Hydroponics rivaled that of the City. It was also overflowing with plant life and held dozens of animal life forms. Upon further inspection, we entered the Hydroponics area and found that 'Nature Preserve' would have been more accurate. It was a large area, a completely contained ecosystem on this ship, with animals that I was unfamiliar with. There were actually several Hydroponics labs around the perimeter of the preserve, but they were not what I would have chosen to define the area as.

Most of the animals paid us no mind, and those that did passed out. It was at this time that Stacy deigned to speak with us, explaining that the animals were both trained not to attack sentients, and 'chipped'. The chips rendered them unconscious if they attempted to attack us. She also stated that they would need 'keepers'. My guess would be that she means to use it as busywork, as the area has obviously thrived without crew assistance.

Upon finishing the conversation, and gathering a great deal of data, we discovered another exit leading to the Hub area of the ship. Most of the crew left there, I returned to make repairs on the damage done to Spacewalk before turning this report in.

Do you require anything more?

I've talked to the Captain about the problems people are having with who's in charge. As it stands, he has someone currently drafting laws that everyone will have a chance to discuss, potentially change, and then vote on, and then afterward, depending on how choosing leaders is decided in those laws, he's going to have everyone decide if they still want him to be leader or if they want someone else.

Deciding these kinds of things is difficult, though, and I know everyone has very legitimate concerns about how this crew is run, and about our future.

For those reasons, in the next week, I'm going to go going around the ship and talking to everyone. I already talked to the Captain and heard his concerns, so I want to hear things from your side, too. I want to get to know everybody and what they're worried about, and then, when I do, I would like to throw a meeting for the entire crew. During it, I want to explain what I know of the Daligig and the Ohm, so everyone understands our situation better. And then I want to help you all get past your differences and get along.

My duty back home as Avatar is to act as a mediator, as the person that helps resolve conflicts between many different peoples across different nations. I want to at least try to do the same here, since I have experience with it, and since I'm pretty impartial. (It's my job to be).

So what I'm asking everyone is for your trust, and to talk to me as I go around the ship meeting everybody, so we get to know each other. The captain understands that I don't take the sides of rulers--or anybody. I help people work out problems and treat each other fairly and to actually solve them. I want you all to have the chance to get to know me, so you know it's true.

What I'm also asking if everyone is comfortable with that. Are you all comfortable with it? If not, do you think you'll be comfortable if we talk first? I want to see how everyone feels about this before I do it. And to ask me questions if you have any! I know people might want to know how I feel about certain things before letting me be a mediator for something that important.

(I told you I'd get back to you, Mr. Sawyer).

Attention Command staff and Security.

Over these past few weeks, I've been working on repairing the Spacewalk. I mentioned this in a public post.

However, what I did not mention was that the Spacewalk connects to Hydroponics. I do not need to tell you how important that section of the ship can be for morale and scientific study, you're all intelligent men and women. My sensors indicate that there is full power and atmosphere present inside.

However, there are also multiple life signs. Animal life signs, not plant. I am not sure if they are hostile or not. I cannot tell you what they look like. Just that they are there, and probably have been since the incident that exposed the space walk, and everyone inside, to the vacuum of space.

My repairs are complete. I can fill the Spacewalk with a breathable atmosphere at any time, we will be able to retrieve and study the bodies inside, and access Hydroponics. I had to rig several force fields in order to repair the breaches, due to a lack of proper repair materials, but they will hold until we land on a planet and I find materials to process.

In short, I desire your orders on how to handle the opening of Hydroponics, and how to handle the corpses within. Roxie Schreiber has requested several cadavers to examine their 'souls'. I am willing to vaporize the rest, or bring them in for dissection at your discretion.

Attention Science Department
Your presence is required to discuss scanning the creatures inside Hydroponics before we open it up.

For those of you who arrived in the middle of that fun-filled little disaster we just cleaned up, I feel the need to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Luis Sera, Chief Science Officer here and the head of the Science Department. If any of you are scientifically inclined in any scientific discipline-- biology, physics, chemistry, etc,-- and if I can trust you not to blow anything up, you are welcome to speak with me if you would like a position on the staff, either in this message or in person. We are based in the Contagion Containment Laboratory down the hall from Med Bay and you will find me there almost all of the time.

[Screened to Science Staff, new, prospective and current]

Okay guys, I know as well as anyone how tempting it is to stay shut in staring at petri dishes all day long and forgetting things like eating, sleeping or basic human social interaction, but I would really like to touch base as a group for a brief meeting one of these days. We are more of a collective of mouthbreathing nerds than a true department at the moment and I, for one, would at least like to know everyone's specialties and current projects so we can perhaps be a little more useful next time a life-or-death-crisis rolls around.

And you know this ship.

If it's any incentive, I have a few projects I would be happy to spread around. I will also see about providing snacks and a nice film about mitosis for after. Let me know if you will be showing up at this potential meeting or if I have to go shut off the power to the contagion lab to get you out of your workspaces.

Dear 'Command Staff' & Crew,

Sawyer here. I'd just like to say I ain't seen a bigger group of babies in my entire life. Yeah, the twerp and the girl with the creepy eyes said somethin' ya didn't like. Yeah, they hurt yer damn feelings. So What! Grow the F*#K up already. Hell, some of ya'll are supposed to be damn 'superheroes' and ya'll are b*tchin' and moanin' like a bunch of goddamn sissies. Are you kiddin' me? So they said somethin' ya didn't like, tough. Grow a pair and shut up.

But, since we on the subject: What in the HELL?

Since when do we call in the cavalry to take out a mouthy little girl for talkin' back? Seriously? I mean f*ckin' SERIOUSLY? Don't know about the rest of ya, but where I come from, we have a little thing called 'freedom of speech,' which means I get to say whatever the hell I want no matter how much it pisses you the hell off because, guess what, you get to do it, too. And there ain't no way I'm gonna sit back and let a power-trippin' prick with a title behind his name take that away just 'cause he feel like it. I don't care who the hell he is!

Now, I didn't vote for any of these knuckleheads but this sure as hell wasn't what I expected when everyone else did. I mean, damn, we got our captain tryin' to arrest a damn KID for sayin' somethin' people didn't like. And then he's gonna go and tell her she can't use her 'magic?' For what? 'Cause she pissed him off? I ain't got any 'superpowers' and I sure as hell can't use magic, but I ain't blind. How the hell they gonna tell anyone not to use their powers? For what? Cuz they ain't got anyw? This ain't the first time they tried to lock someone up for sayin' sh*t they didn't like, an apparently it ain't gonna be the last, looks to me like our little Fuhrer and his Gestapo got themselves a little problem with bein' prejudiced and a little power-happy.

I mean, hell, we got the Captain threatenin' to use 'security' to lock up a little girl for speaking her mind. Then we got a Chief of Security that won't let the super-powered kids into security cuz he seems to think that patrollin' the city is just "too dangerous" for them to be doin' cuz they might get "hurt" but sendin' 'em to the damn frontlines when sh*t starts goin' down like they damn cannon-fodder is just, well, shucks it's ALL RIGHT. WTF? You seriously expect me to believe that fighting the sh*t we've had to go up against is safer for kids than walkin' the city and stoppin' the crew from friggin' JAY-WALKING?!? Where the hell is the logic in that, aside from keepin' everyone with superpowers OUT of security whether they wanna help out or not for no other reason than...aww, hell, it's so f*ckin' stupid that I can't even make up a damn reason!

And another thing. Why the hell ain't there a woman in the command staff higher than department head? Seriously? We promoted a damn dinosaur to the senior command and there's only TWO of 'em on the damn ship! You seriously tellin' me there ain't a single woman on this boat that ain't got what it takes? Hell, I can name FIVE off the top of my head!

Now, our little 'command crew' likes to point out that we all gotta stay in line cuz, if we don't, they gonna send us to the brig. What they've apparently forgot is that there are consequences to abuse of power, too. Luckily, rumor has it, when these clowns were elected it was made pretty darn clear that if they did sh*t like this, the crew could vote to remove them. Well, ain't no one done it...yet. So, I'm gonna start it. I'm officially movin' for a recall of the entire command crew, the Captain down to the department heads.

Yeah, it woulda been nice if the little girl and her blue-eyed friend had kept their mouths shut. But they didn't. And there's a lotta times it'd be nice if a lotta people kept their mouths shut, command included. But they don't. But sayin' somethin' that pisses people off isn't even in the same ball park as tryin' ARREST someone for sayin' somethin' you don't like. Like the man in tights said: the captain crossed the line. And it's a line he shouldn't've crossed and I ain't about to give him or anyone else a chance to try to cross it again.

So, if ya with me, great. If ya not, fine. Just keep in mind, like the kid said, who's to say who'll be next?

This is what all of you are acting like. Cease.

I'm certain that if we all sit down for a few days, then hold a centralized meeting, rather than ranting endlessly over the comm channels, we can come up with a civil discussion.

Until then, stop acting like a bunch of tits. It's like listening to Grace and Thunder argue all over again.

It seems as if I've missed something important. My apologies, I was carrying out repairs elsewhere on the ship.

To those who are interested, I'm nearing completion on a section of the ship identified as the Spacewalk. It provides a view outside the ship that I can only describe as 'gorgeous', though it's been exposed to a vacuum. I should be completed within a week, if all goes well. It would be sooner, but I am working with limited materials. I'm sorry about the delay. I do have a question, however. How should I dispose if the corpses in here? When I reintroduce gravity and an atmosphere, they will begin to rot.

Aside from that... Querl? Nightwing? Are the two of you unharmed?
[identity profile] indigoblueberry.livejournal.com
You will find that your maps have been updated with another layer. That is a map of several miles of Stacy's ventilation shafts, spreading outwards from the observation decks. It constantly updates, thanks to sonar beacons invented by Jack Spicer. You will thank him when you see him next.

When we next descend for more parts, I will attempt to gather more beacon materials for him. You should do so as well. Though there are several miles already charted and being watched, Stacy is the size of a small moon. I have many hundreds miles to go if I am to ever complete mapping her ventilation system.
[identity profile] captain-jtk.livejournal.com
I need volunteers for a bridge crew. Optimally, I'd like to have four shifts, but if necessary we'll just have one for emergencies. Ideally, you should have some idea of how to use technology, but don't worry too much - we'll all have to lean Stacy's systems. What is needed is the ability and willingness to work together and follow orders.

Kirk out.

Lyyyyylllllllle. Seeeeensor. Breeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenda. Duh.

I have made such a fantastic discovery. I felt the need to share it. Where are you guys?

No, I suppose you're not all guys. Where are you peoples? People? Persons?

Gentlebeings?

..."Dudes"? I've heard people using that word before in reference to groups of mixed sexes. Is that a gender specific word? Let's go on the assumption it isn't.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuudes. Hypothesize where I am right now.

Do it.

Dooooo iiiit.

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. The mission was more turbulent than I expected, but we've all returned safely.

To our newcomers, and older crewmates who may not have noticed us previously, my name is Billy Cranston. I'm the co-chief of a little-known department on our ship known as Engineering. Allen Gentry, the esteemed principal of our school system, is the other co-chief. You'll meet him soon.

Anyway, our department is seeking individuals with engineering skills, as our name would suggest. If you've constructed or repaired communications devices, complex weapons, robots, computers, or other complex machinery, I'm certain that you'll be able to help our crew here. If you're interested, you're welcome to visit our Special Weapons laboratory, where one of our staff members will be willing to talk to you.

Finally, to our current engineers: I need to consult with Allen before making concrete plans, but what are your thoughts on having an organizational meeting? If you agree, please suggest meeting topics if there are specific concerns you'd like to discuss.

Since Ms. Takamachi did this for the magic department, I figure it would be a good idea to do it for mine as well. My name is Dr. Luis Sera and I'm the head of the science department here on the ship. If any of you need any assistance with a matter requiring research or development of something using scientific methods, we are the people to talk to.

Incidentally if any of you new folks have experience in science or research-related fields-- whether physical, biological or mechanical-- I'm interested in having you on my team. The science department will be having a meeting in the contagion lab next week for all new and present members to discuss current projects and division of labor.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. I basically live in the contagion lab, so I'm easy to find.

-Dr. L. Sera

My name is Indigo. I am on Team Victor, according to the command list.

Please excuse me if this is the incorrect way to go about this, but I was looking through the maps of the ship, at least what's been explored of it, and I was noting that the ventilation systems were largely incomplete. This seemed particularly unwise to me, so I would like to volunteer my services in both mapping and exploring. I don't seem to have anything else to do right now, and just talking to the other crew members doesn't seem particularly productive.

As for my qualifications, I am an android possessing advanced defensive capabilities as well as networking and mapping systems, among other things. I can answer any more questions to the best of my ability.

As an afterthought, I'd like to ask anyone else that's tried mapping the vents to give me any information and advice they possess on the subject.

As I am currently stuck behind something that reminds me of a vastly improved void shield, I find myself with nothing to do.

I am a Tech Priest, or more specifically, an Enginseer. I am in need of something to do, to please the Machine God, and lessen the pain of the Machine Spirits that suffer.
