The teleporting stations have been added to the ship with little to no problems and the majority of the testing has yielded positive results. Mishaps and accidents did occur, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. There's been a Port Station added to each of the major levels on the ship and important locations for ease of travel. You'll need to pass by engineering to pick up the upgrade to your comm device to be able to use the teleporters as they are connected through the device and personalized to each individual crew member.
With all this said, there's a few things to keep in mind:
- Teleporters may still malfunction, but the chances are very low as long as you follow the procedures. So far the mishaps have caused the users to end up stuck in a wall, or a random location not previously determined. There have also been a variety of other minor accidents but the chances are much lower. For a detailed list, please ask and I'll list the ones that happened during testing.
- Make sure you mark exactly which Port Station you which to arrive to when using the Omnicomm to teleport. Not only for your safety but also because there is a cooldown period you need to wait after teleporting to the location. (Estimated cooldown time: 10 minutes)
- The Port Stations can also be used to jump from one Station to the other and they've been built to be able to comfortably teleport up to five people. Caution! While you could squeeze more into the pad, the risks of a malfunction increase greatly, so it is highly advised to not go beyond the capacity unless it's an emergency.
- Teleportation can only jump you and a your belongings along with a few extra packages as long as you keep them close to you when you input the request. For large amounts of supplies or cargo, please use the Gate system.
- If a mishap occurs and you end up in a bind, do not panic. The Omnicomm will be fitted with a distress signal in case you don't end up in a destination you wanted and are unable to call for assistance.
If you have any further questions about the use of the Stations and the upgrade to your omnicomms, please address them here or visit Engineering.

i have a question
Mar. 18th, 2012 12:03 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
i guess it's okay if you don't want to answer it because of what happened today with the punishment thing? it is kind of about that.
i saw some of you guys arguing with the daligig about it. so i guess this is going to sound super dumb to some of you? but i don't get it so here goes.
is there a way that you guys get people to do things they don't want to do without threatening to hurt them or something? i am pretty much on board with that being a cool idea, because being tortured and maybe dying if you do something wrong just by accident would really suck, but i really can't think of a way that it would actually work.

So apparently this planet has banned the Daligig from its airspace. I'd be curious as to why.
And let's not forget the opportunity to get out from under the constant surveillance for once.

Getting Organized
Mar. 4th, 2012 08:36 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Since our erstwhile leaders haven't yet seen fit to grace with us with a plan or any form of communication, I'm going to be doing this myself. Jaime? We're going to need your ability to block out Stacy's little probes.
I believe we can meet in Central Park in the city without fear of being overheard or of retaliation.
Should that fail, I'm sure we can find somewhere else to organize. If any of you are still interested in getting control of this ship, I'd like to meet and organize - in person, with copious notes - so we can begin detailing the resources we have at our disposal and what we might be able to do in the future. This is not going to be some brutish smash-and-grab operation wherein we get together and then storm off like some sort of angry mon-keigh mob.
I'll notify those of you interested via comms when we have this meeting.

For those of you who are interested, several of us recently went on an expedition to track down the source of the ship's food supply. You know, the slop.
It appears as though what we're eating is cloned or artificially cultivated plant and animal matter. We recovered a fetal cow from a holding pod in one of the ship's tunnels and discovered a meat cloning setup; Sakura or Barbara can fill you in with more detail on what they encountered.
In any case, the ship also appears to be keeping detailed records on each one of us. There was some kind of old monitoring system up there that we couldn't immediately access; further investigation may reveal more information. However, I'm not sure how amenable the ship will be to being 'explored' in that manner again. It discharged us without much ceremony shortly after we reached the lab setup.

Alright. Uh.
I'm kinda new here still - not out of the most recent round of people, but the previous. Name's Simon.
We have a need to take control of this ship, it seems. I have something that can help. My mech in the hangar, it's got an ability to hijack control of bigger things - other robots, carriers, even full-sized spaceships. I don't know if it could handle something as big as Stacy, especially with those power-killing things on-board, but in that history thing, discussion came up that perhaps a team attempt at hacking things would be ideal.
...I'm honestly not sure where to go from here, though. I'm a more "charge in and hope for the best" kind of guy, but even I can tell that's a bad idea here.

Okay so if you didn't read THIS POST for whatever reason here's stuff that you need to know or you won't get this. But I want to put this down on the network so Stacy can't mess with it and so EVERYONE can find it even if we all get our memories wiped out right now.
1. The first captain's name was Cybil Bennett and there were about twenty other podpopped people.
2. Sometime after they got popped they decided to grab the ship from the Daligig.
3. JUST LIKE WE ALL THOUGHT the Daligig are evil pricks.
4. The crew lost. Badly. And anyone who DID survive is either in pods or doesn't remember this.
5. The crew trusted Stacy. I mean, the Stacy personality who talks to us and pretends like she's our mom when she comes out of the pods, not the whole system with the Warden and all. Personally I still don't trust her but they did.
( The first pod crew versus the Daligig )
If anyone notices anything NOT RIGHT about it say so. Stacy really likes messing with our minds after all.

ATTN: ABOUT THE PAST CREW

Crewmembers of Sta'c K'ltrrb'txft, particularly the current Council members, those in charge of Security, those older members of the crew, and Captain Kennedy himself:
What happened to the last crew of people woken by Sta'c K'ltrrb'txft?
Cargn and Schmuz, I would particularly like to speak with the both of you.
[ private to Jake B. ]
If you have time in the near future, and don't mind, I'd like to meet with you. Face to face.

I have set up a training exercise in the Sensoriums. No one will be hurt.
Of course, I will understand the position of any too frightened to take part. After all, sometimes discretion is the better part of valor.
[That's a taunt, by the way.]

I knew tentacles weren't trustworthy. It's like jumping into a hole if someone promises you a bucket of chicken.
But anyways, for all you people not in the know, I'm one of the best Secret Pychonauts Agents from Earth. Name's Raz. I was just scouting the territory around here during this tentacle transport stuff, so I was wondering where a well-trained Earth Mentalist like me might be needed around here. Especially if it involves setting aliens on fire.
Nothing with water though. Actually are there still oceans in space?

Greetings all.
I am Celena Vantari, head of the Infrastructure subdivision of Engineering, a subdivision that focuses on the construction, maintenance and repair of the ships infrastructure. As all of you know, due to recent events, a great amount of damage has been done to both the infrastructure of the city and other areas of the ship. It is now more than ever that we are needed to assist in repairing the damage that has been done.
If you wish to assist in the reconstruction, you needn't have prior construction knowledge, merely a will to assist, all are welcome to join the subdivision, no matter your skill set.
In addition to the ongoing repairs, there is great potential for new infrastructure to be built from the ruins of the old. One such project that has been put forth in the past is the construction of specifically built safe houses that could be utilized by the crew during times of crisis in addition to any existing safe zones.
I welcome as well any ideas as to the possibility of other infrastructure projects that could be conducted.
On a somewhat separate note, I and Rhiow have made something of a breakthrough in the workings of my Gateway devices, one that would allow a network of stable gateways to be constructed. We hope to work and organise such a gateway system with other transport infrastructure, such as Ronnae's suggested teleport system to make travel and transport of supplies and goods throughout the ship much more efficient.
At the current moment I have gathered sufficient supplies and equipment to manufacture and construct a fair number of these gateways.
Any who wish to assist in the construction of gates, or wish to know more about them, you are welcome to contact me.

So yeah... first of all, I'd like to, you know, do a formal apology for what happened during the whole psycho SHODAN attack... I lost what little mind I have left and it just made matter worse that it went right to the wrong things. I know I caused some heavy damage, but I plan on doing everything I can to rectify things and do the work myself if needed.
On that note, I also want to thank those who helped keep the Hunter's Pad running. It's much appreciated. I went ahead and used the supplies brought from shore leave (Thanks once more guys, you all rock) and updated the games on the Arcade and brought some light snackage for the lounge and club floors.
Edit: Also... has anyone seen Aya? I sorta promised her we'd do something after I got out but... I can't get in contact with her...

Eureka! [Message to Engineering but Open]

So, I know some of you will say that I shouldn't be working! But! I just couldn't help myself! Especially with the recently gained parts from our last shore leave!!
I managed to get a teleporter to work, sure it was a personal one, but still! If we can get the team to work on a bigger, more stable version of these, we could make travel on board Stacy much, much more efficient!
If anyone wants to join or take over the project, I have the notes and all the materials necessary in my side of the storage at the Engineering hub. Just toss me a message or something!

Hey, is this thing on? ... whaddya know, it is. Wow.
If anybody on board Stacy is listening, this is Roger Maxson. A number of us've been shunted to a previously unknown part of the ship, a pretty inaccessible one with some extremely odd rooms and tenants. We've been forcibly incommunicado this whole time but if I'm reading this right, people should be able to pick up on our signals now, and the transport tubes are starting to look like a viable option for getting back. Anyone out there able to verify that I'm not just talking to an inconveniently glowing chunk of metal and glass here?

A Small Announcement:
Jan. 29th, 2012 09:15 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
Hey everyone,
It's Billy. Ronnae and I have been talking about this for a little while, and in light of what happened to us recently, we thought we could take an open opportunity to affirm our status as lifemates. It's something akin to the weddings traditional to some cultures, but we're building our own tradition.
We have a very small group joining us in the chapel for our ceremony already, but if anyone else would like to be there, we'll be at the Lights' Hope Chapel in three days. Assuming, of course, that we don't get sent on missions, repodded, or crushed under the weight of another invasion by then. Please cross your fingers for us!
That's all. Thank you.
((Log will be up on the shiny new Dreamwidth community on Friday!))

[After spending the morning searching for her friend, Elisa was forced to conclude that there was no sign of Alanna anywhere on the ship. That made her the third person to have gone missing in as many days. Something was definitely going on aboard the ship and Elisa didn't like what she'd seen so far.]
According to the network, at least three people have gone missing so far. We need to work out who else has vanished and when and where they were last seen. If there's a pattern, we've got to find it and break it.
What has everyone got so far?
