I'm Billy, one of the co-heads of the Engineering department. I'm sorry I haven't been very open lately, I've just been overwhelmed. There's a lot going on that we all need to take care of.

Before I get into that, though, I have an announcement. We've successfully loaded the omnicom network with some heavier security. Your user experience shouldn't change too much, but we've secured the signals and you might have to answer some simple prompts to confirm your identity.

With that said, our department's lost a lot of members with the increase in repoddings lately, as everyone has. Who's still here, and what are you working on?

And if you're not with us but have any skill in inventions, mechanics, weapons and armor, or architecture, would you like to join us? Jonas has already talked to you about programming, but I can handle the rest.

Is there anyone that can help me with a project? I'm forging an axe for my girlfriend and I'd like to outfit it with more modern technology so that it can cut through just about anything. After doing a little research, I was thinking something with a monofilament edge or a laser edge of some kind.

I barely know what thinks like lasers are let alone how to build them.

You're certainly under no obligation to speak to me. I understand that many of you do not trust Security with information about yourselves or the events that occurred in your world -- and I am part of Security.

On the other hand, I should probably mention that thus far, the crew member who has been the most helpful in providing information about the Yeerk-human conflict has been Iniss. If there are any details that you feel Iniss might have left out in his explanation, now would be an excellent time to provide clarification.

I think it would be safer if I were to stay in the brig until Marco and Rachel are found, as both have on separate occasions attempted to kill me. It may also draw them to Security, and I have no issue with my presence being used in an attempt to draw them in, should anyone wish to explore that route.

Attention, everyone.

My name is Dr. Samuel Henderson, Chief Medical Officer of this ship. I come to you today with an important announcement. There have been numerous individuals that seem to be suffering from memory loss, or reverting to a previous state in their lives. With the variety of biologies present aboard this ship, it is vitally important that we be very cautious when trends begin to develop.

It is for this reason that the Quarantine area of the contagion lab has been reopened. Effective immediately, all individuals showing signs of amnesia, irrational behavior, lost memories, or a sudden, abnormal change in physical state should be brought to Medical or Contagion for examination immediately.

It's even more important that we don't panic. While there have been several incidents, so far there have been few injuries. The more we learn about what is going on, the better chance we have of beating it.

Thank you very much for your cooperation and I will keep everyone abreast of what is going on. I am willing to answer any questions you may have, though do keep in mind that I cannot discuss individual cases.

For those of you who arrived in the middle of that fun-filled little disaster we just cleaned up, I feel the need to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Luis Sera, Chief Science Officer here and the head of the Science Department. If any of you are scientifically inclined in any scientific discipline-- biology, physics, chemistry, etc,-- and if I can trust you not to blow anything up, you are welcome to speak with me if you would like a position on the staff, either in this message or in person. We are based in the Contagion Containment Laboratory down the hall from Med Bay and you will find me there almost all of the time.

Okay guys, I know as well as anyone how tempting it is to stay shut in staring at petri dishes all day long and forgetting things like eating, sleeping or basic human social interaction, but I would really like to touch base as a group for a brief meeting one of these days. We are more of a collective of mouthbreathing nerds than a true department at the moment and I, for one, would at least like to know everyone's specialties and current projects so we can perhaps be a little more useful next time a life-or-death-crisis rolls around.

And you know this ship.

If it's any incentive, I have a few projects I would be happy to spread around. I will also see about providing snacks and a nice film about mitosis for after. Let me know if you will be showing up at this potential meeting or if I have to go shut off the power to the contagion lab to get you out of your workspaces.

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well. The mission was more turbulent than I expected, but we've all returned safely.

To our newcomers, and older crewmates who may not have noticed us previously, my name is Billy Cranston. I'm the co-chief of a little-known department on our ship known as Engineering. Allen Gentry, the esteemed principal of our school system, is the other co-chief. You'll meet him soon.

Anyway, our department is seeking individuals with engineering skills, as our name would suggest. If you've constructed or repaired communications devices, complex weapons, robots, computers, or other complex machinery, I'm certain that you'll be able to help our crew here. If you're interested, you're welcome to visit our Special Weapons laboratory, where one of our staff members will be willing to talk to you.

Finally, to our current engineers: I need to consult with Allen before making concrete plans, but what are your thoughts on having an organizational meeting? If you agree, please suggest meeting topics if there are specific concerns you'd like to discuss.
