Now is the time for action.

Command, Starfighter Command and Task force personnel ready your weapons and armour as now is the time to prove yourselves in battle. Squad leaders, report in if able, otherwise gather your squads and take the fight to the enemy. Weapons are available from the shelters, precinct, armoury or the Quarter.

Those with vehicles capable I want defending the hanger and City, clear them out. Those with Sniping proficiency and sufficient mobility, aid them.

I need teams to clear the command deck and secure engineering and the command core, do not let them Sabotage this vessel.

We need information on locations, strong points, weak points, location of leadership any infiltrators not otherwise engaged I want on the task.

Let us show them that the military on board this vessel is not to be trifled with, 'Vadum out.

This is Rtas ‘Vadum, current Commander of this vessel, to all crew, new and old.

For too long we have lacked an organised infantry or mechanised force. We have had Starfighter Command to control the skies for some time and yet no other organised military to take on tasks unsuited to space combatants. No organisation to take the fight to the enemy on the ground, in boarding operations or even covert operations.

No longer, it is to this end that I wish to announce the formation of the Special Operations Task Force. The Special Operations task force shall be a military force to take the fight to the enemy no matter the theatre of operations. The operations the task force may undertake are as varied as the theatres that they will fight in, wherever the fight is, whatever we must do, we shall make it so.

If you have combat experience, or skills that you believe may prove useful to such a Task Force I will be undertaking sign ups within the next few days in the Sensoriums, the specific location shall be noted at the time. We shall need those who are willing to fight, those who are willing to lead along with those skilled or show potential to be trained in specialist roles such as, scouting and infiltration, combat engineering, snipers and heavy support roles among others. Do not hesitate to put forth any particular role or ability that you feel you may be suited to.

If you have interest or skill in the operation of vehicles, whether light or armoured and do not have access to one at current we have appropriate vehicles available, training can be provided. For those who do not have their own weapons, we have a range of weapons available depending on your chosen roll within the Task force.

Do note that this will be a strictly military organisation and will be placed directly within command, conduct in the field and while on duty will be expected accordingly.

For those of you who are not yet familiar with me, my name is Gerald Tarrant, and I am the most recent addition to the ship’s civilian Council. I have also been working with Farseer Ildraniath on the continuing problem of the Daligig. Before you turn off your communication screens: I have an important message that I believe concerns all of you.

First, I have a proposal to get rid of the Daligig presence on the ship. Second, if all goes well, we may even end up with the ability to decide where we want to take the ship, rather than having the Daligig decide for us.

I hope I have your attention. But for those of you who value brevity over completeness, feel free to skip to the part where I say we should all work together to stage an all-out rebellion against the Daligig and we need to communicate to do it.

Greetings.

I am aware that somewhat recently a new vessel has been released in the hanger, a vessel larger than any others currently available. One that lacks a Shipmaster, or Captain. The Macross Quarter. I have spoken with those who are most familiar with the vessel and am aware of a manner of the vessel's capabilities. As Shipmaster of the Shadow of Intent, I have knowledge and experience in the command of such a vessel.

To that end I wish to express my interest in becoming the Captain of the Macross Quarter and offer my experience and skills to aid in command and coordination of the vessel and any associated combat squadrons.

The bombs, eight in total have been located. Six we can pinpoint, and two more I know the general location of, but interference with the ship's sensors preventing me from getting an exact location.

I'll need people who can disarm these things in a hurry. Keep in mind that these aren't just normal explosives. According to initial scans, one is magically enhanced, another is nearly microscopic, a third is covered by material that can break down organic matter, and a few others are defended by automated weapons. If you can help with this, speak up.

Everyone else, start evacuating to the Obs deck or crew quarters. You'll be safest there.

I will be conducting training exercises in the sensoriums in the near future. The nature of this training will be on how to combat the Ohm, utilizing the knowledge I myself have gained in fighting them.

The training will not be the most complete, but it will be better than nothing.

So. We've all been through hell. Anyone who needs some time to recover from that, speak up and it'll be granted. Otherwise, I expect you to show up and do your job.

Just to publically clarify this department's stance on all the recent arguing:

Don't expect us to try and stop you from arguing further. We aren't going to start confiscating equipment or shoving people into the brig for speaking their minds, no matter how annoying, inappropriate, or ill-timed it is. Members of my staff are free to voice their own opinions on the matter as they see fit, but any member of my staff who attempts to use their position to shut anyone down will be relieved of duty. "Free Speech" is not within the scope of our authority to regulate.

That being said, posting to the omnicomms is a public record of your own words, and we will be keeping an eye on things. If this escalates from arguing to harassment, threats, and acts of violence, then you have crossed a line from "free speech" into something dangerous and harmful. Any offenders will be swiftly and appropriately dealt with.

I'm glad to announce that the Nightmare King has been resealed and we're on our way back to normal ship operations. My thanks to all of you for your exemplary service in that time of crisis. We've won. I believe some down time is in order. In the meantime, let's collect our wits.

I'm officially standing us down from Red Alert.

Also - I'm revising the bridge crew roster and this is who I ahve so far. I know we're all exhausted, but I'm still willing to take volunteers. So far we have two full shifts.
