Got a ship in the Hangar - big boxy blue and white thing - and I've secured all our systems. Anyone who needs a safe place, come knock on the airlock near the front left, as you're facing the ship - it's the only one I haven't sealed.

Hey everyone,

I'm glad to hear that most of you are in good health or will be soon. We'll need our strength later, I'm sure.

As Captain Kennedy has already instructed you, please keep sending your damage reports to us. I've reposted the form here, and you can send it electronically to our inbox. Angie and I will be able to read it and slot your item in the repair schedule as soon as possible, with items critical for our operation as designated by Command receiving top priority.

That brings me to my second point: we're exhausted, short-handed, and haven't touched base with each other in a while. It's my fault for not being more proactive, and I apologize for that, but I intend to take steps to correct that now. Please don't rush if you're not yet feeling well, and if you haven't been cleared for release from Med Bay, do not sneak out to attend. If you're able to come, I'm inviting you all down to our Special Weapons laboratory tonight. We'll re-touch on everyone's skills, skim the damage reports, and start clustering into repair units to finish this task.

I'm also inviting anyone who may be interested in joining or training with us to this meeting. People of all skill levels can help us, and if you're not already involved in a project or busy, we'd be glad to have you with us. Don't worry, we'll have a short training unit to bring you up to speed before you join one of our crews.

-Billy

Alright, so it's probably about time I stopped spending all day just exploring and relying on the good will of others on this ship. Is there any place that needs a hand at the moment? My background is in command and organization, as well as data analysis, but I can pilot a transport and I'm a quick learner, so I'm open to suggestions.

So, my mechanic informs me it's polite to introduce myself to the rest of this chuánbó èmèng, and while I'm not aware of when she started giving the orders, I'll grant she's at least got the better of me when it comes to knowledge of this place.

Name's Malcolm Reynolds. Friends call me Mal. I got one of those and she ain't here. Since my boat seems to have been taken along for the ride, you can call me Captain Reynolds. Don't worry, I'm not gonna get thinkin' I'm your captain unless you step on my ship.

Now, I'm gonna be straight with you all. I'm not one for orders or causes, so any lookin' for an convert or a lackey best look elsewhere. I have been told, however, that we're here to stop mass planetary genocide, and will admit I don't much stand for that. Therefore, if you need a good gun and a fast ship, and the cause is right, I'm your man. There won't be any saluting or sirs though, I already got my fill of those.

Other than that, you don't bother me and mine, and we'll get along just fine. I don't intent to invite any trouble, but you send it my way and I will end it. Don't have patience for much else.

Oh, and I'm gonna grant you all the continued use of my mechanic, mostly on account of someone needs to keep this running, and I'll hear no end of it from her if I don't, but you give her trouble, you're giving me trouble, understand?
