Hello, everybody!

To the new arrivals: I hope you're getting adjusted well. Don't worry, I know it's confusing and disorienting, but we've all been there - and if you need help, I'm sure there'll be someone to help point you in the right direction! If there isn't anyone around, there's a guide for newcomers, too.

My name is Nanoha Takamachi - please, just call me Nanoha - and I'm the department head of the Magical & Mystical Department. In case your world doesn't have magic: Yes, it exists, and in many different forms depending on the world it's from. It's our job to research and deal with any threats of a mystical or otherwise supernatural nature, like the Science Department would tackle any emergencies of a scientific nature.

We're always recruiting, so if you're new and think you have some abilities that would be helpful and you'd like to join, let me know here - or stop by the Jedi Temple in the city, where my office is. I'll be happy to speak with you!



Now, to everyone else: Captain Kennedy has asked the department to begin instructing the crew in magic - not teaching you how to use magic, since that's much more complicated - but teaching you how to recognize and confront magic if you happen to encounter it here on our mission. Please let me know what experience you've had with it before, and what you'd like to work on!

Annual Podpop Science Department Memo

Hello and welcome to all the new arrivals from podpop. My name is Dr. Luis Sera, and I'm the head of the Science Department here on the ship. The Science Department exists for all your scientific needs-- research, investigation, and even development of scientific-based solutions for all of your problems.

No, we have not come up with a way to send you home yet.

In any case, if you are scientifically inclined yourself and you are interested in joining the department, we are based in the Contagion Containment laboratory (down the hall from Medbay) and always accepting new members from all disciplines. Joining the department gives you free reign of the C.C. laboratory, as long as you agree to a few simple rules:

1. You may work on any projects you like as long as you agree to assist the department with assigned projects from the crew.
2. You may work on any projects you like as long as you follow the department's ethical standards-- this involves showing me your work and if I do not scream or turn colors, then you're good to go.
3. You may work on any projects you like as long as there is not a statistical chance that said project is going to kill every person on this crew.

If you are in need of research and development in a particular scientific area, feel free to submit a request and we'll hand out the work within the department.

NOTE TO CREW: Science classes will be starting this week. Our first lecture will be on basic biology, taught by yours truly. Let me know here if you'd like to attend.

On another note, thank you to those of you who donated blood and tissue samples for my research. I've gotten some interesting results from them and I'm very grateful for your assistance.

Greetings and hello to all of the humans and other beings We are now friends with! We are very pleased to meet you all and would like to introduce Ourselves. We are the Prince of All Cosmos, son of the mighty King of All Cosmos and the beautiful and gracious Queen of All Cosmos. You can call Us Prince for short.

We are very sorry to hear about the destruction of the universe... Our Father is sometimes quite impulsive and We apologize. We will do our best to make things right as soon as We can.

We have taken trips to Earth many times but We have not been on a spaceship like this before. We think it will take some getting used to but We must make the best of things.

May We ask a favor? We are quite small compared to humans... We thought We were merely a late-bloomer at home but We have found We barely come up above the shoes of most humans. It isn't great for Our self-esteem... We have been coping as best We can, but mostly We are worried about being stepped on. Could We ask you to watch your step in places where We might be walking? We are trying to work out a solution to make Us easier to see but We greatly appreciate your courtesy.

We are happy to be on the crew and We want to help however We can! Please let Us know if there is anything We can do for you!

Important announcement

Greetings to the newcomers I didn't get the chance to meet before. My name is Kang, and as well as being one of the newly elected Council members and the main caretaker of the tavern, I teach a Warfare Training class with Ronon Dex. There may be occasions when I am called away, but I fully intend on continuing to participate in the class whenever possible.

It is completely optional, but be warned that it is not easy. Just ask any of our current students. Our schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1600 to 1800, and mostly optional on Saturdays from 0900 to 1200. We'll let you know which Saturdays are required at least a day ahead.

We cover hand-to-hand, various melee weapons such as knives and swords, firearms, strategy and tactics, and we offer private lessons for those interested; anyone that wishes to learn axe, contact me. For firearms, contact Ronon. We will also cover how to face off against a multitude of nonhuman foes.

Starting now, the classes will no longer be held in the tavern; instead, you are to meet in the sensoriums.

Hello everyone. My name is Dr. Leonard Samson, though most people simply refer to me as Doc Samson. I'm a clinical psychiatrist, one who specializes in helping superpowered individuals, as well as those who find themselves in unusual or extraordinary circumstances. And I certainly believe that being here qualifies as an extraordinary circumstance.

I'll be setting up a practice soon, once I locate a place that's suitable to set up shop. If anyone knows of a location that's both comfortable and secure, please let me know. I take the privacy of my clients very seriously, but at the same time, I don't want anyone to feel as they're walking into a prison.

Once I'm set up, my services will be available to anyone on board. Just contact me and we can schedule an appointment. In the meantime, if anyone wants to get together for a little talk, I'm available for that too.

My name is Samus Aran. I have recently taken command of the Security Department upon Captain Kennedy's promotion. Currently the security department deals with threats to crew on-ship and planet-side. Maintaining a sense of safety and security are our chief concerns.

We have faced our share of threats already, but it would be overly optimistic to expect that trend to stop. New crew members, if you are interested in joining us, there will be a meeting in the precinct. The exact time and location in the city will be attached. Request for Information, and Equipment

I'm trying to track down some advanced communications equipment, preferably something above my own world's tech level. It also needs to be suitable for use by a small team during infiltration, and highly secure. While I'm aware of the comm rings, and they are functional, they are not a suitable answer to my requirements. That's why I'm putting out this request. If any of you are capable of helping me with this either through information, or by building the units yourself, I would appreciate it if you would contact me.
