For start? Lie. Manipulation is very important if you want to keep hold of your relationship and make sure you're happy. You have to make sure that you appeal to them long enough that they start to not only want you, but need you.

But, wouldn't that be defeating the purpose? As far as I know, honesty is key in a relationship and not deceit.
