This is Nightwing. If you are with a government agent, please do not bring this message up. Communications should be working on planet, at least with our omnicomms. Ability to contact off planet is still blocked, but this is at least something.

Reports are saying that two people were killed in the attack on the hotel last night, which I assume means the rest of the crew is safe. I've seen Fate, Jr., Kang, Kon, Howard, Zouichi, Lash, Lord Zetta, the Doctor, Dr. Henderson, Rory Williams, Ruffnut and Sakura. Edited to add: And Signum. (Sorry again.) We're all safe and in good health. If there is anybody else unaccounted for in our groups, please let me know immediately.

We were teleported away from the hotel before the missiles hit. We've been guests of the CLF since then.

They claim that the bombings that involve civilian casualties have been orchestrated by the Council as a way to keep the people afraid of change and believing that the clones are too stupid and violent to be given a chance. We have had a chance to speak with their government contact, who has backed this up. In fact, it turns out that the Council themselves are clones, having been in power for the past five thousand years, using the cloning technology to make themselves new bodies and transfer memories and personality into them.

The CLF have offered to assist us in gaining the technology that we're looking for in exchange for a limited amount of assistance. It's an offer I'm seriously considering as I had my doubts about what we could get from the Council to begin with. It also doesn't involve killing anybody, so that already makes me happier.

If everybody could sound off and let me know that you're okay. Please.

The main thing the clones are asking for is copies of memories. Apparently, because of the way their memories and knowledge are programmed, self-discovery happens late in their short lives. Ten years ago, a group of clones downloaded their own memories into the Mother Brains, which allows for that self-discovery to happen earlier. They hope that by adding memories of independence and the things we know from our worlds, it will bring this self-discovery even faster and help the clones fight smarter.

I honestly believe we have more to gain from helping these people than from betraying them. That's my personal opinion, of course. But it also sits better to earn what we're taking than to betray everyone and come out on top. This is medical technology. Do any of you realize the utter idiocy of killing people over medical technology?

Yes you can choose to distrust them and say they're lying to us, and they might well be. But they deserve a chance and they would have let us go if we had told them no.
