Hellsrot! This is one of THOSE planets.

Someone needs to review everything we know about Galilee laws, to make sure the law doesn't say they get to KEEP any clones who visit.

Two thoughts: to make it clear that the clone detection system tagged crewmembers who are NOT clones for processing. I know Zouichi isn't a clone, for example. In fact, I'd try to find out everything you can about the clone detection system.

Because what if the reason we weren't warned was that everyone else who visited this planet came back and said everything was smiling-fine? Which could be done with bribes, or with careful control of who they met...or by sending back a clone of the visitors with suitably edited memories.

Zouichi is more like a Realian from my own world. And I know in our case, there are still tons of problems about their freedom and how they're looked at - you know, not as actual living beings because of the way they were born.

... I hate to think of the idea of other clones. They took DNA tests on us when we landed, but they just said that was for things like sicknesses coming in from outside of the planet. Bastards.

I am...much more familiar with that attitude than I would like to be. I've seen it in too many places: the belief that you can only raise yourself up by standing on the shoulders of others. Bad enough in a truly isolated society, but to have people who know about mores on other worlds and still be unable to see...! It's infuriating.

They took DNA samples from everyone? That's very suspicious.
