So, I was thinking that we should try and get together a list of the under-eighteens here so we can make sure we know what we're doing with the on-board school stuff. And since we had that new podpop, so there might be new people we're missing. If you are one or you know one, please speak up so I can work on a roster or something. And can I get all the people who have signed up as teachers to tell me what they're working on?

I'm Meluly. I'm doing some basic math and physics and stuff, but I've been kind of scarce lately. I'm sorry about that, it was a personal matter.

EDIT:
Under-18s (whot did I miss?)
Adam, Antonio, Billy (the magic one), Billy (the one with glasses), Brainiac 5 (the more robot-y one) ("already a super-genius" exemption), Brenda, Cassie (the tall one), Cassie (the Amazonian one), Danny, Danielle, Eddie, Ender, Gavroche, Hunter, Jack, Jaime, Jamie, Julian, Kara, Katara, Kate, Kon, Mai, Megan, Mia, Lacus, Luna, Nana, Nathan (the younger one), Paco, Pavel, Rei, Ron, Roxie, Sean, Sherry, Sokka, Steve, Terry, Tim ("early graduation" exemption), Vega, Will, Yuri, Zuko, Wilimena
(I don't want to force anybody to take classes but it probably can't hurt unless you're already a super-genius right?)

(OOC: If anybody doesn't belong on the list because they're too old, that'd be an OOC error rather not an IC one so please shoot me an OOC note. If somebody's not on the list but should be, feel free to go the OOC or IC route and I'll get it fixed either way.)

I'm fifteen.

I'm curious. Why are all the "kids" under eighteen going to a school?

[identity profile] anoldtrickster.livejournal.com 2009-08-09 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
THIS SHOULD HELP YOU OUT. I THINK THIS SHOULD BE EVERYBODY UNDER 18.

I am Sheeana. I've signed up to teach Sociology, Political and Religious Studies and at least portions of the physical training.

I put down that i'd be willing to teach astrophysics and related disciplines, but i'm unsure of that will ever come up...

i think i signed up to help out with chemistry. i'm pretty sure i'm not the teacher, though.

I'm 17, but i'm not going back to school. Don't need to.

I taught paranormal studies at a university. I am qualified to teach demonology and theology. I can also teach psychometry and defense against dark magics.

I'm 18 but I'd still like to go to school. My education is closer to a 16 year old's anyway. It's complicated.

I also go by Cassie Lang or Stature if that helps.

Personal question but are you feeling better?

I'll offer to assist my fellow students with chemistry or physics if the need arises. As a full-time engineer and president of my high school's science club, I'd like to think that I'm qualified to help somewhat.

My major weakness in the sciences is with biology, and I'd also like to pursue further study in history---though given our situation, the scope of the universe's history is too broad to cover. Any subject that would enhance our understanding of various cultures and perhaps prepare us for what we may face would be useful.

I'm slightly concerned about the school schedule conflicting with my Engineering duties, though. Is it possible that material covered in classes could be recorded and accessible later, should a situation that requires my attention arise?

Will there be a test to see where everyone is academically? I don't mind taking classes again, but I don't want to be too far ahead or too far behind anyone, either.

I am nineteen, and the legal age of majority where and when I am from is fourteen, but I wouldn't mind taking or assisting with some of the classes, so long as they don't interfere with my patrolling schedule.

I would be happy to assist with the sciences portion of the education program. Human science back in my universe is somewhat backward.

I'm sixteen, but I applied for early graduation from the high school I was attending. As far as I'm aware, the principal is granting my request.

Thanks for the offer, though. Do you mind if I sit in on some of the more interesting classes?

I'm 18, but I just recently graduated high school.

I wouldn't mind sitting in on some of the advanced classes, though. My world doesn't really have anything left as far as university-level learning other than military academies.

It couldn't hurt to have everyone on the same page. I agree with the proposition.
