In the course of scouring the ship, most particularly the formerly-inaccessible areas discovered during the last pod release, we have obtained or acquired numerous items of substantial arcane might.

Given the potential usefulness of these items if their natures can be understood -- and the potential harm that such thaumaturgical forces can potentially unleash -- it falls to the Department to analyze and examine these items to determine which can serve our cause and which cannot.

The items in question have been placed in separate laboratories in the Tower of High Sorcery, which seems best suited for the analysis and more likely to survive any bursts of arcane devastation (which I stress should be avoided if possible, but recognize may be inevitable). If you wish to examine any of these items, speak with me first so that your attempts can be logged.

I've completed the initial stages of introducing several different fish species into the Kohaku River. As they are now in a relatively stable state populationwise, please feel free to fish them. Within reason, of course.

Additionally, if you'd like to assist me with caring for them or monitoring their movements and behaviors, let me know. Suggestions for additional fish species are also welcome.
