Attention Passengers, This Is Your Captain Speaking...
To all crew:
Due to GLaDOS "disappearing" a good portion of the Command Staff, I've assumed the role of Acting Captain aboard this ship. Under the current ship constitution, I have both the authority and responsibility to do this, and will retain command until either GLaDOS releases one of the Commanding Officers, or a new Captain is elected.
That said, there's some business we need to handle
I: Elections
For starters, we'll be holding elections for Captain, First Officer, and for all nine Council seats within the next few weeks. If this last battle managed to prove anything, its that a Command structure is necessary. Now that we have voted on the structure as stipulated in the constitution, the top positions need to be filled. Details regarding candidacy and voting will be released over the next few days. ((OOC: All of this will be discussed and hashed out in the ooc comm at some point soon, so please don't ask Leon any questions about this.))
II: Interim Appointments
Secondly, with me serving as Acting Captain, Samus Aran will be taking over my duties as Chief of Security in the interim. In addition Dr. McCoy is also the new Chief Medical Officer.
III: Debriefings
All crew members need to be debriefed regarding the recent battle against the Ohm. For those of you unfamiliar with this, here's how the process works.
1. You write a report describing What The Hell Happened in as much detail as you can remember. If you want to do the report orally, that's fine. Just record it on your omnicomm.
2. You submit that report to the Tactical Department.
3. Someone in Tactical will review your report, then call you in to ask questions and clarify details.
The whole purpose of this is to gather information about the Ohm. We need to learn what they can do, what they can't do, what weapons they have, what tactics they use, what defenses they have, and so on, so we can learn how to counter them the next time we meet.
And for the record, this debriefing isn't optional. All crew members will be required to submit their reports by the end of next week. ((OOC: This is actually entirely optional, and can be handwaved. It's mostly so Command knows what everyone did during the fight and all of that. If you want to do a full report, though, go right ahead.))
IV: Other
If there's anything else that needs to be brought to my attention, you can mention it here.

[You also get a battle report from Lash. It talks about their first attack by the Ohm when they tried to repair the reactor]
