Attention Council and Departments, but hey, some for everyone [Bent to well before Shore Leave end]

So despite spending like there's no tomorrow, I still have a freaking ton of credits left for this planet. And I mean that about as literally as you can get.

So, uh... anyone out there need some crap they couldn't afford to further the glorious fight against the Ohm and all that stuff?

If you got scratch left, give it to Kang. He's getting some real food and booze in this place.

[identity profile] j-y-d.livejournal.com 2011-04-15 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Food is good... food and good booze is even better. He's buying for the bar. He can spend as many credits as someone'll give him. Just means less slop for longer.

I've already picked up a good deal of food, and I know of a few others doing the same.

Has anyone on the crew expressed any interest in raising livestock in the City? I don't want to bring any animals on the ship if no one is going to do anything with them.

I know how to raise pigs, horses, and cattle. There are small fields near the back of the basilica. I would certainly be willing to take charge of the beasts there.

I don't even know what all I could buy.

A lifetime supply of chili sauce, and a giant freezer to keep it from spoiling? Maybe a few crates of some kind of alcohol?

[identity profile] allnaturalseed.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's one of the first things people miss, and it's a lot easier to fix than missing places and people. Even if I bought a tropical island or a city I don't think I could bring it with me.

Not just for me but for the ship in general I think:

Since everyone's talking about food, salt for salting down/brining meat.

Bar iron, tools, tool parts etc. for weapons and making weapons; you probably know more about magic than I do, so maybe some metal that is good for magic? Silver?

Scanning, diagnostic, testing equipment - for organics and for machines - so we don't have to just use the equipment we have on hand. Including medical imaging equipment.

Books and databases - reference, repair, medical, magic, animal husbandry, strategy.

Quantum computer cores and memory (NOT the Alte brand, their quality is substandard). Portable hardened computer memory storage devices.

Many thanks, Overlord.

Hah! Keep your stupid pocket change, it's not like you'd have more than a couple hundred coins left.

[identity profile] king-of-koopas.livejournal.com 2011-04-16 04:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Only if you want me to accidentally drop it on your face! Heck, I might do it anyway since I'd be doing the world a favor!!

Engineering could use a restocking of base parts since we tend to overlook the common parts.

I could use some elemental essences', arcane, infinite, and hypnotic dust, volatile elemental fluxes and some elemental or dimensional power cores for my personal projects if you don't mind.

Could also use some more runescript, and runic essences if you could find those.

If you can find anything that could be upgraded on my ship or my gear, hell more power to ya! I'm always looking for new (and maybe sometimes trivial) upgrades.

On the subject of medical, more supplies to outfit people with medkits when they're going on mission, or even around the ship. Some of the technologies on planet can probably act more quickly than standard supplies, but having plenty of both cuts down on chances of landing in a situation where technology fails, for whatever reason, and you have to rely on the basics alone to get by.

If you're looking into buying more weapons, the Magic Department could use some raw materials for sympathetic magic and probably some fresh bullet casings. We only have a few Bureau mages here, but we all tend to go through cartridges like they were normal ammunition...

If you can get a good deal on bulk scrap metal that can be melted down for general repairs, that would probably be a good idea too.
