Regrouping [OPEN---attention hackig and defense grid teams]
Hey everyone,
I'm glad that most of you are all right, though I acknowledge that the definition of "all right" varies. Even the worst cases here in the Med Bay seem to be recovering. My commendations to the staff, and I hope you all get some well deserved rest. How unfortunate that we need it right after a vacation.
Based on what I observed in the last battle, I'd like to begin work on some new projects. Input and ideas are welcome, of course, and our commanders have the final say as always.
I believe we could benefit from weapons with the ability to take out masses of Ohm. They would be tightly controlled, of course, but we were all overwhelmed in the fight. Some of you have sufficient weaponry and strong enough powers to attack masses at a time, but the majority of us do not. In that swarm situation, we needed to group up to avoid being sliced and diced by the Ohm. If we could just create larger openings in the swarms to mount attacks, that would help.
Did any of you collect further data about them during the fight? I believe the information encountered by the hacking team would be especially helpful in our quest to disrupt their activities. If you can, could you share what you learned?
I'd also like to ask the defense grid team about the defenses they brought online. Do you believe any of that would be adaptable to our use? I have some ideas, but they'll need significant development time and approval from the command chain.
If I'm needed for any reason, I've just been cleared to return to my post. You'll find me in Special Weapons attempting to organize the new inventory and drafting up anti-Ohm projects. If anyone else purchased new tools for us during shore leave, feel free to drop them off at any time.
-Billy
((OOC: Pausing my replies about Lex's proposal right now. This is going to require mod work and OOC coordination, especially because I foresee a big brawl over it. I'll wait until more of you come online to discuss it. Hope that's okay, Will.))

Are you sure someone like you is up to the task?

We're pooling our resources before we begin.

I don't think a boy like you has the fortitude necessary to lead that kind of project.

I'll consult the team and Command about the fate of it. I know you have a bad reputation with much of the crew that may not be entirely deserved, but they should allow you to complete it as long as there's clear checks in place. I don't want to hinder your work should you work on the project, but I don't want the others to have reason to excessively fear you either.
I would ask the same of anyone else in charge of it, even myself if I were capable.

When you're ready to get blood on your hands, then you can call me.

Don't listen to this guy, Billy. He's just trying to worm his way into more power so he can screw us over.

It's confidential right now so I can't clarify, but we may need him for something in the future. I'm going to consult everyone and we can discuss the best way to go forward.
Maybe someone else can offer what he is. I don't know yet.

We're not going to make a decision until we talk to Command and the department, and it might be wise to solicit opinions from everyone else as well.

We'll make sure it's done correctly.

I don't know what a Nuhrrrrd is. It looks like your buttons are getting stuck, have you tried getting a new omnicomm? I know how frustrating it was back home when my keys got stuck when inputting commands on my father's fossil of a computer and the keys got stuck.

Grammar. Spell it like I did. It's the rules governing the way languages are put together. You know. Sentence structure, spelling, punctuation, the things that all go out the window when you put anyone on a network of some kind?
