[Bendy-timed to a day or two after recovery]

Hi everyone,

For the new crew members and those who don't read this network very often, my name is Billy Cranston. I co-head the ship's Engineering department along with Allen Gentry, the administrator of this network. If you misuse it, you'll have him to answer to---not that spirited debate is censored, of course, but we have strict privacy rules. That means there is to be no hacking of other peoples' private data.

To bring this post back on track, the Engineering department primarily works to build and repair mechanical devices. Anyone with experience or an interest in computer work or mechanics of any skill level is welcome. We have a training program for interested participants, and there are work opportunities in ship repair, weapons development, security development, and more. Our Special Weapons laboratory is located on Level One, next to the Medical Bay. Someone should be there to help acclimate you, whether you're a potential addition to the department or someone with a concern we should hear.

(My recruitment-drafting skills are somewhat lackluster, huh?)

Finally, I forgot to do something important in all the chaos of the Nightmare King's attack. I'd still like to hold a meeting of our department as soon as possible. I have an important announcement to make regarding the future.

I've survived, but I'm not in the mood to celebrate. I don't blame anyone for wanting to---objectively I can see why you'd be relieved, and you have every right to be---but have any of you who care about achievement ever failed a major test? Not just an academic one, but a test of skill or rite of passage? That's how I feel right now.

I know that I absolutely must do better next time, and I'm already working on improving my 'grade', so to speak. That's all I can do at the moment. So...in case you were wondering about me, that's the best explanation I can give. You're still welcome to visit me---maybe socialization is indeed part of the cure, as I've been trained to believe in the past.
