Bored.
I'm trapped against my will in the Medbay and it's so excruciatingly dull that the only thing I'm able to do right now to entertain myself is reflect on the fact that there are talking ponies on this ship that are capable of grasping objects when they're not in possession of opposable thumbs.
Someone say something that isn't tedious.

Either I get to leave Medbay right now or your awkward phrasing is immortalized forever.

Besides, I'm a doctor, we move unconscious people around all the time in entirely professional contexts. I just occasionally get to use that knowledge to extract you from the couch before you put down roots.

By the way, before I went down into the city and got stabbed, I staked out a room for us.

That was good of you. You haven't found any dead things to put in it yet, have you?

As for finding samples, not as of yet, but if that thread above is any indication, there could be the remains of the ravening undead somewhere on this ship. Possibly. I need to start looking.

No zombies where I sleep. I'm making that a rule now. In fact, I am making it a rule that no dead things are allowed in our room other than things that are food; and in that case, only food that has been recently obtained/prepared and isn't being used as part of an experiment.
And you don't need to start looking for anything, you need to recover.

I don't need to recover. I need to not be bored.

Are you not entertained? Are you not entertained? Is this not why you are here?

And it's only a tiny bit of entertainment. Hardly enough.

Tell you what: if you promise not to try and sneak out while I'm gone, I'll head down to the Media Library that they've got here and download some movies for you, including the one I was just quoting.

It's from Gladiator. It's a historical drama, set in Rome. Pretty popular in the early noughties.

Gladiator is better, though.

And don't be obvious and say "gladiators."

It's about a Roman general who gets sold into slavery and forced to fight as a gladiator after the emperor's son kills his father to take the throne, and kills the general's family when he can't kill the general. The general/gladiator then spends the rest of the movie competing and gaining popularity until he eventually faces the emperor's son in combat in the arena.
