Attention from Starfighter Command
Hello to all of our new arrivals on the ship. My name is General Trudy Chacon, commanding officer of Starfighter Command. This is a post to anyone with piloting or aerial combat experience.
We need you.
Among the other things the Ohm use to destroy worlds, they have a powerful space fleet. Stacy has a space fleet of her own, which I command, but we're vastly outnumbered. We need as many pilots as we can get to help fend of Ohm attacks to Stacy and other worlds.
Starfighter Command utilizes three major types of fighters in its three squadrons: the X-Wing snubfighter, Gundam-class and other mobile suits, and the Valkyrie Variable Fighter. We also are in need of bridge crew for our flagship and spacecraft carrier, the Macross Quarter. We already have a capable helmsman in Ensign Washburne, but we need Tactical and Ops stations manned.
Since we've had problems with this in the past, let me make this absolutely clear now - if you choose to enlist in Starfighter Command, you will be joining a military operation with a strict chain of command. Brig time can and will be applied for anything from conduct not befitting an officer to mutiny, and dishonorable discharge is also an option for anyone who can't or won't follow orders. To face this enemy, it is vital we trust the strength of our command.
Contact me if you're interested and I'll have you run some sims to see what you can do.

I am a Space Marine, and as such, have had several centuries of void war experience as both a pilot and a shock trooper, though it has been some time since I have touched the flight yoke of a Caestus Assault Ram or a Thunderhawk. As an Astartes, I was designed to fight primarily eye-to-eye with my opponent, but as a Fleet Chapter, we also have significant air and void-war training, though I will admit it has been over a century since I have been a pilot myself. If you are in need of a willing soldier, and have some time to retrain a pilot for new equipment, I will happily make myself available to you.

Not much. The smallest void-war ships Astartes tend to use are 30 man assault boats like the Thunder Hawks, but they handle like a smaller fighter because of their significant thrust power. I am, however, willing to adapt and cross-train, if we don't have anything like the Thunderhawk Gunships in our bays. I have yet to ask Grand Master Cargn if we have one. I would imagine the snub fighters are not too different from flying our Land Speeders, at least in atmosphere. Are these atmospheric fighters as well as void-ships?
At any rate, I spent several years as a pilot as well as a Knight, so it is something I can relearn, if we have time to train.

However if you do find one of your Thunderhawks aboard I am not at all opposed to integrating its firepower in one of our squadrons.

...Probably easier to understand if I experience it myself with training. So you said there's some simulation thing?

We can never have too many of those.
