Heya. Name's Cowabunga. I've got a prosthetic arm, and since it was covered in that pod goo I'd like to make sure it's all cleaned out, but to do that it means taking the thing off, and work like that is kind of difficult with just the one arm. I usually have a spare to swap it out for, but I haven't been able to find it, so I'm gonna need some help.

A guy named Ed mentioned a Winry who works with this kind of stuff, but if they're too busy anyone with a fairly decent background in engineering should work. Anybody mind helping me out?

You figured these devices out quickly enough.

I'm an engineer. It's my job to figure out complicated devices.

How lucky for you. It took me a little over ten days, I think, to figure it out. I'm just not as adept.

Hey, if I wasn't good at what I do I wouldn't have been able to build a replacement after the flesh-and-blood one was destroyed by an exploding goblin.

...Exploding goblin? If I remember correctly, they're supposed to price-gouge. Not explode.

By and large yeah, but when it comes to their engineers....Let me put it to you this way: Have you ever actually seen a goblin who went into engineering that's made it to old age?

No.

That's because when something breaks down, they just jury rig a repair. To the point that inevitably something blows up and kills them.

...In that case, I think I'll continue to depend on the engineers on the Exodar.

Yeah, I like explosions more than a lot of people, but even that wasn't ever going to be enough to make me specialize in goblin engineering.

If you can't get Miss Winry to help you, I wouldn't mind being of service. I haven't made any prosthesis myself, but that's more due to a lack of necessity than a lack of understanding.

What sort of prosthetic? Nervous, muscular, or something else? Not that it matters, I can work with anything, but it helps to know.

It's a mechanical arm. It's built with gnomish engineering. It looks like something that could go on a mechagnome, except it's bigger and only has three fingers. It's not that complex except for where it plugs into my nervous system, but I just need the arm itself cleaned out and re=oiled.
