Tom, I want you to know that we will find a way to get that yeerk out of you. Hang in there.

If you turn yourself over now you won't be hurt. Please. I'm not trying to kill you. I just want Tom free. That's what we all want.

If I turn myself over now, you'll put me in a box and I'll get to stay there until whenever the synthetic hosts are done. And while you and your friends might promise not to hurt me, do you speak for the rest of the ship, or would I find myself, like my brother yeerk, locked in stasis after a sham of a trial to make you all feel better about yourself?

I know what you want. I know what Jake wants. I'm trying to work out a solution that gives all what we want.

No one will hurt you.

You don't want to be a prisoner but you've made Tom into one inside his own body. We'll give you what you want but there's no reason for Tom to suffer any longer.

You have a great deal of faith in you species, I lack that.

Tom can see, and hear. He can even interact with the world if I wish to let him, and if you people will stop trying to kill me, I would be willing to allow that.

This is the best solution.

No one will hurt you because I'll beat up anyone who comes near you.

Tom can't talk to his brother or anyone else. He has to watch while you talk to him. He can't do anything. Tell me, just how many times has he been able to interact with the world while you've been inside his head?

Before or after the ship?

I would be willing to allow that. I am willing to share... custody of this body, for lack of a better term, until such a time as a better solution presents itself.

While you're in stasis waiting for a synthetic body or whatever. I'll make sure you aren't hurt.

How will we know it's Tom?

I can't believe I'm offering this, But I'll speak to Dani. Or Allen. I'm sure they can think of something to indicate it.

You already know the answer. Jake wants it all, not what I can offer for the moment.

Well I should be hearing that from Tom himself soon. Just hold up your end of the bargain, I'll be asking Allen and Dani if you've talked with them about it.
