Not just a party, no. We were thinking that watching sports while imbibing alcohol must be a common theme across universes, so we thought everyone could share their favorite sports of their homeword, via the wonders of the sensoriums. That way we could get to know each other a little better, break the ice, that kind of thing.

The empty barrels sound like they would work, thank you. ... you wouldn't happen to have a cart or something to move them on would you?

I don't, but I'm willing to bet there's someone on this ship that's strong enough to carry them if you can't find a cart.
