This is a reminder that the ship's educational system is still in need of more teachers, and I see that some of our new recruits have been volunteering. We already have a couple of people taking different subjects, but here are a few of the subjects we could stand to have people teaching:

All forms of mathematics
All teachable forms of magic
Astronomy
Social Science
History*
Various types of art
Music**
Physical combat***
Piloting and/or driving
And, basically, everything and anything you think would be useful on this mission, at all levels. Basic, advanced, supernaturally advanced, whatever the level, we need people to teach it.

* This one's tricky because of all the alternate histories and worlds. Let's talk about how it could be done.

**Currently Pirogoeth and I offer lessons in theory and performance, but work in Engineering keeps me very busy and I would prefer to hand this class over to someone with more time and passion for the subject. Composition teachers are welcome, too.

***Because martial arts are Srs Bsns, rather than put every instructor's complex and lengthy schedule down (we have one guy wanting to start at 400 hours, seriously), I am adding a list of martial arts and combat teachers to the bottom of this informational post. We still need combat teachers for use of melee weapons and firearms, anyone else interested in teaching their school of fighting and philosophy, and hand-to-hand instructors for individuals to whom human methods of combat would be inefficient or irrelevant.

I have on record diagnostic exams of all the people currently enrolled in classes, and I still have them available for anyone who wants to enroll (especially minors who were taken in the middle of their educational careers). These diagnostic exams pinpoint the areas in which the student needs more work or extra assistance and ensures that nobody has to waste time sitting through a lecture they've already heard, so don't skip this step. You can get one from me in the Engineering department between the hours of 0900 and 0500, and pretty much any time after if you run into me in the halls.

The time frame of the signup sheet is a 24-hour day, 5-day week 21st century Earth-based schedule, with class slots open in an 8 hour timespan

The diagnostic exams test you on math, physical and natural sciences, writing and reading comprehension. The idea is that you work until the questions become too advanced or complicated for you to answer easily, and that I use this information to place and instructors use this information to teach individual students more efficiently.

Uh.. Me and Kang are going to do Warfare Training. We'll mostly do physical combat dealing with hand-to-hand and melee weapons. But we'll also have firearms training, war tactics and... stuff.

Our classes are on after school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. 1600-1800. No less than 2 hours and don't be late. And an optional Saturday class in the morning from 0900-1200. Classes will be held at the Drunken Dragon Tavern.

I can't tell you much about actually flying a plane, but I can still give a fair amount of flight guidance, like with the mechanics and all that. It would almost seem a little funny, getting flight help from a hawk.

I know a little about guerilla warfare too, if you're interested. Spent the last three years of my life involved in it.

i'm willing to assist as an instructor. I'm capable in a number of areas.

I have training in several different combat forms; I know that I may look a bit old, but I assure you I'm still able to handle myself quite well. As long as Buffy isn't nearly killing me without even realizing it My training is in hand to hand combat with weapons like crossbow, quarterstaff and some bladed weapons, and I'm quite capable of training in some physical basics. I'm familiar with Aikido,Jujitsu, and fencing.

I served as a librarian rather than a teacher, I do have experience with high school students. Perhaps I could assist in some area of literature or language, either English or, I speak a number of foreign Earth languages: Latin,French,Spanish,German,Italian, and I'm passable in a couple of others.

And, I'm not a sorcerer or warlock, but I have experience with some areas of magic and its use. I've had experience with spellcasting and magical defenses, and extensive experience battling supernatural beings and entities.

I can give you more extensive details about my training privately if you wish, but I will say here that many of these areas are related to my primary profession back home, and I've had formal schooling in most of them.
