(no subject)

So, I get to be part of some sort of team. I guess it makes sense if we're gonna be doing stuff.

Team Papa seems kind of a weird name, but I suppose it's easy to remember.

Whose on the team? If we're gonna be working together in the future, I'd like to meet them.

From what I've heard of the names, it sounds like they're just the American army alphabet. Code and whatnot.

Anyway, I'm on Papa, too. I'm Yoshimi.

So it would seem. I guess Stacy just makes a consistent habit of abducting people. Reassuring knowledge, that...

Charmed, I'm sure. No, that's not sarcastic. I know, because I'm only sarcastic when I'm mad, and I'm not mad. Irritated, but not mad. Fortunately. How're you?

Odd procedure, that.

Yeah... weird is a bit of an understatement. It could be worse, though. They could be mean to us.

Nor I. It's kind of traumatic, actually. Waking up naked covered in... whatever the hell that was... Eurgh.

Yeah. I don't think a mean Stacy would be fun. It would be quite terrifying. Quite.

... Yeah, disorientating is a better word for it. Traumatizing is being told at seven that your leg is a robot.

Escaping would be so excellent, though. Seriously.

[identity profile] slainrobots.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
In a manner of speaking, yes. It's interesting.

Can we get home?

[identity profile] slainrobots.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Sort of. Where I come from, they implant an identity chip into your brain when you're born, and the chip allows subconscious tech-communication in the case of artificial limbs or replacement organs. Substitute body parts are sort of robot-like, more techy than anything. The limb or organ gets its orders from the chip in your brain. So my leg has a mind of its own, meaning that something could interfere if it wanted to. Most of the time nothing wants to interfere, though, so it just receives from my chip. Fun, no?

Ah, well, there goes that plan of action. I guess we'll just have to behave.

[identity profile] slainrobots.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 04:56 am (UTC)(link)
You get over it after nineteen years or so. Still sucks, though.

[identity profile] slainrobots.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
My sentiments exactly. Having tech in your head makes it way too easy to hack your entire existence.

[identity profile] slainrobots.livejournal.com 2009-07-07 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Indeed. Unfortunately, it really does have that much power over people. Fortunately, they tend not to give much of a damn what you do as long as it's not violently illegal or directly harmful to them in any way.

Good point. Well, thank Ganesha that I don't have to be around for that catastrophe.

[identity profile] slainrobots.livejournal.com 2009-07-08 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, yeah, I'm vaguely Hindu. My mother has a thing about Ganesha...

Well, not if the government is going to go more to hell. Stacy's better than having a bunch of creepy higher-ups that you don't know breathing down your neck.

I just don't practice regularly. I have a little altar at home, but it just kind of sits there with my bronze Ganesha, looking all happy and smelling like incense.

Yeah... trusting Stacy would probably be a questionable decision.
