Team Papa seems kind of a weird name, but I suppose it's easy to remember.

Indeed. Unfortunately, it really does have that much power over people. Fortunately, they tend not to give much of a damn what you do as long as it's not violently illegal or directly harmful to them in any way.

I just don't practice regularly. I have a little altar at home, but it just kind of sits there with my bronze Ganesha, looking all happy and smelling like incense.

Yeah... trusting Stacy would probably be a questionable decision.
