Mine name is Pirogoeth. I am unfamiliar with 'technology' such as this, but I believe I have this communication device figured out.

I am from a world of magic, where 'most advance technology' is made of wood and stone. Upon mine being taken, a great, evil necromancer had been slain and an earthquake was upon it's first movement from the magical release before I found myself within the pod cavern.

I wish to know if there was an imminent disaster before others awoke in their pods as well.

i'm on team juliet! my name's paco.

we've got magic on the world i'm from too, but also tech-stuff. usually alien tech, but some of it's home-grown.

and there's pretty much a near-disaster every other week. i help divert them by epically beating stuff with sticks.

nothing really huge? there's a new baddie running around, that much i've picked up, but i'm trying not to ask too many questions. don't want to screw with the time stream.

the only real thing 'imminent' was my mom telling a cute girl more embarrassing stories about me.

also: movie night sometime soonish. you're welcome to come. there will be sensorium popcorn and pretty much every kind of movie on board the good ship meatball.

movie! it's like a play, but with smaller people and better special effects.

How can a play have smaller people? And what are special effects?

they're technically normal-sized people, but when they act, someone copies them onto a film strip. And then that film strip is projected onto a screen. it's like if someone could do thousands of life-life paintings every minute, and record sound to go with the mouth movements.

special effects are ways you can make everyone do really cool things that only a few people can do in real life. like, my world doesn't have any dragons (not that i know of, at least), but if the movie NEEDS a dragon, then they can add an imaginary dragon onto the film strip. And when it's projected, it's like HOLY COW, THAT'S A DRAGON CHEWING ON THAT HAYSTACK!

(also, don't worry too much about the impending disaster you got yanked from. i'm pretty sure that when we go back, we'll get put right back from when stacy took us. neither of my friends mentioned anything about me going missing, and i'm from a few weeks before either of them. so you can use this as a chance to study up for any last-minute information on whatever you're facing.)

That is not the reason for mine asking. The problems have been dealt with that I needed to deal with.

...a world of magic? Of course you would think that if your technology is as primitive as you describe. But rest assured, there is a scientific explanation to everything. 'Magic' has nothing to do with it.

A scientific explanation? That I am unsure of. There is a logical explanation for things, even magic, if one understands it well enough.

However, no science I know can properly explain the ability to throw fireballs from one's fingertips.

Actually one of my teammates from the Legion possessed such an ability due to a combination of a genetic mutation and an unfortunate accident. Both of which were easily explained scientifically and can hardly be considered magical.

That is different. That is an isolated incident.

Magic in my world can be learned by anyone who has the intelligence to understand it and the patience to learn it. How well they use it depends on both how much they study and how talented one is.

The last thing I remember before waking up here was everything falling apart.
