I assume by the fact that you are actually speaking to me to mean that you do not mean the Federation of my home universe.

Forgive my bluntness, Captain[*], but I must set my mind at ease on this matter. Your Federation is not an alliance of xenophobes which surpresses conquered planets' cultures and persecutes the genengineered, is it? My sincerest apologies if this is not so.

[*The word she uses is 'Cheuass', literally Kilo-commander which is either the leader of a squadron of smaller attack ships or the captain of a large vessel. However Stacy translates it as Captain.]

I've never heard of any Federation vessel encountering your people, so I would assume not.

...of course not. The Federation embraces all races, all peoples, and all creeds. We're a peaceful nation - but we're not afraid to use force to defend ourselves or our ideals. We're not conquerors, not in the least.

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. It is quite easy to become distracted by this place when trying to seek answers.
