Okay, so the basics?

I lied.

I am not a normal person. Trust me, I wish I was. I'd LOVED to be a normal person which is why I maintained my secret identity. Of course, if the universe is gone, that's kind of pointless. And if we do make our universes again, I guess I could just lie if someone is from my world and say I have no clue.

According to Nemesis there are universes where I am normal, so it works out well enough.

And since I already had to tell people because when we're about to be eaten by zombies? Lying about powers doesn't seem the best idea.

So, yes, I am a barmaid from Apex City. Yes, my best friend is Helen/Deja Vu from the Luminaries. And yes, I have been possessed. Just some of the facts have been smudged a bit for the people I've told this.

I am in fact part of the superhero team. I am Dream Weaver.

I can make illusions for most anything, unless it's a camera. Cameras don't pick them up for some reason. I can put people to sleep, not instantly and not a wide spread area. I can astral project. You know, the whole spirit leaving the body thing and walking around. Which is how I got possessed because my body is kind of an empty puppet then.

....and I can travel through dreams.

Let me describe this with a metaphor.

You are looking for the code to disarm a bomb that can destroy a galaxy. You need this information. You're practically yelling to get it and panicking about this code.

Unless you say 'E, tell us the code to disarm the bomb' directly to him in the hopes he knows, he'll go eat hot dogs. Especially when he DOES know.

You know, it sounds like things would be much better if this guy stayed in the pods.

Oh, lord yes. There was something he was doing to the Kanshian ship before I put it under and I really don't know WHAT he was trying to do. I'd rather he not try a repeat on Stacy.

Hey, maybe if you ask real nice, Stacy will make sure he stays in the pods.

And who decided to name the ship Stacy? Isn't she meant to be some sort of weird alien vessel?

I do wonder about that...I mean, all things considered, I'm surprised she let ME out. I mean, I need access to the core, but I've put organic ships down for good. And I just caused a whole fleet of them to blow up as my last memory.

...the Kanshian ships don't like their head vessel to stop operating. Hivemind makes them all explode.

She does have a weird name. Stacy is just close to the first part of it and we can say it.

You can? Well...don't kill Stacy. You know, what with all of us being on her and all. I like being alive, you know.

And you took down a whole fleet? Okay, you realise that you are official Very Cool now, Selene.

Ah, like Ax. His whole name is way too long.

Well, it's not like I intended to kill those ships. I was only meant to put them to sleep. Their connection to the Kanshians is what made them blown apart, I think.

Yep! I did it before, so I figured it'd work again. We were hopeful that the hivemind would mean putting down the head ship would put down the whole fleet. Of course, I had to get to the core. And unfortunately, the mix of machine and living tissue means I can't quite phase through it. Not sure why.

Pretty much.

They were your enemy, weren't they? They were a threat to you and what you were fighting for. You did what needed to be done.

Phase? Like Kitty Pride? Or can you only do that in astral form?

I know. But I still only intended to shut them down.

I have to be astral. When I'm astral, there's very few things that can affect me.

Guess your missions always go wrong too then, huh?

Cool - hey, if pretty much nothing affects you, guess you don't have to worry about getting injured or dying then?

Almost every mission goes wrong. Which kind of helps. We ended up failing and then when we get another go, they think we're so pathetic, we beat them. Or we do something so insane they don't believe it.

Usually I just get a mental blast and end up conscious. If my body isn't 'dreaming' then I can't project. But astral, it's pretty hard to do anything to actually hurt me.

Of course there's the weakness I have no idea what's happening to my body until I get hurt.

Now that sounds familiar. Well, except the part about failing and giving it another go. Usually failing meant death or capture, so, we kinda tried to avoid that.

Can't you just keep your body far, far away from where it could possibly get hurt? Or can your astral form only go so far?

We were usually captures. Then put in a Death Trap. Then they leave because they think we're idiot. Then we get out and go save the day.

Oh, I try to, but if it's TOO far, I have to fly back to where everyone else is. And I can go pretty much anywhere on Earth so as long as we don't have to go to Mars or anything, I could leave my body wherever, but again, flying time. Then there's the problem of where. Because if I can track down a person's body from their astral form when I suck at that sort of thing, mentalists can do it to me. Heck, Exile has possessed my body a few times that way.

Handy-Man eventually just made me a smiley face button. Passwords can be read from my mind, but they can't do anything about the button. It smiles when it's me. If it's anyone else, it frowns because their brain waves don't match mine.

I guess they never the the Evil Overlord list, huh?

Only the ones who have a thing against Helen. They were in a past life and now just want to kill her because she did this or that. She forgets after a while.

Oh, I assure you, it's not as funny as when my body gets used like a meat puppet to lure my teammates into a room that takes away their powers. Which has the chance to kill Helen because she's older than the England. *And why yes, she has a very warning tone right now.*

Uh, are these guys and this Helen chick on the ship too?

Okay, maybe that part's not so funny. You gotta admit though, having a smiley-button still is.

...Helen could be. It's hard to say. Her mother, Nemesis, can jump between dimensions. She doesn't have the highest regard for humans, so she might have grabbed her and ran. But I doubt Helen just died. Even when her body is completely destroyed, killed by some magic thing, she reincarnates into a new life. She's always alive. Don't know about her exes though.

We have a thing in the Luminaries; So insane or lame, we go around and kick butt.

So, the smiley is just par to the course.

That is seriously weird. You know, are you sure we're not all insane?

If we are, then i want my money back from my doctor. He was the one who told me I was walking around in dreams.

He was a minor psychic. Enough he could see spirits.

I was going because I was convinced I was going to my college classes, but my professors never saw me. Nor the security cams.

I hadn't realized I had gotten powers and was going to class astral. People thought I was delusional, so I went to my doctor and then he noticed some times when I came, I wasn't quite as solid I should be.

Wow. This is so weird. I mean, I've never read it, but this sounds just like it could be something out of a comic book.

Well, my world is supposedly a combo of two comic book worlds.
