My fellow creatures, greetings! We live in strange and difficult times, where we must learn to unite together and live in harmony, even though at times that may be difficult. In my home of Equestria, my dear student would often write to me to speak of what she had learned about friendship and harmony. By writing of the lessons she learned, she has been able to grow and develop as a pony. I do not know many of you, but if you wish to send me a letter speaking of the lessons you have learned, I would be most glad to read them!

Harmony is indeed real, as are dragons. Harmony is not always easy to obtain, and at times it may feel impossible to reach, but to give up on harmony is to also give up on peace, and friendship.

Where I'm from, friendship is a very powerful force - having friends and other people that believe in you gave myself and a great many others the motivation - and even the power needed to liberate ourselves from the rule of a tyrannical king.

It's my experience that friendship is needed to achieve harmony and peace.

For everything else that I've ever experienced -- and I lived in a Nexus-realm for a while, so that's a lot -- I had never met a talking pony before I came on this ship, let alone three. But it took barely a few sentences exchanged to strike up friendships, to which the fact that I was just as strange and unusual to them as they were to me meant nothing, and that for all our physical and societal differences, our similarities as people were much greater and much more important as long as we let them be.

As "lovely" as your homeland sounds like I find it amusing to imagine that anything other then our common enemy could bring together this particular crew to work in harmony. There are too many broken, malformed, imperfect fools with too much power either literally or in title alone.

And as for friendship? A foolish concept, a useful tool, and ultimately destructive. It is a weakness that can be exploited. Ultimately harmful and hurtful for anyone with true ambition.

Mostly unfortunately, a lack of harmony cannot be treated by drugs. You will have to seek harmony the hard way, I am afraid.

I got a lot of work on the farm done today! When I first started out, it wasn't going so well. Back on Sweet Apple Acres, I used to make a game of things for Apple Bloom, just like I wanted to do when I was a little filly. We loved doing chores, because it let us just be sisters. So when I set out to work here, well, I missed her.

I thought I'd have to haul it all myself, but plenty of people came by to lend a hoof! We had a great day. Wasn't quite the same as when Apple Bloom's here, but the time still went by right quick. Everypony's better at this than I thought! So maybe I'll have farmhooves around a bit more often.

Harmony's impossible, but yeah, it'd be nice. Where I come from, our ruler still can't get everyone to get along fine, poverty and other usual land problems. Though I knew a kid who wants to be a kind king someday, he'd achieve it if he, y'know, survive this all and the like.

Friendship is the most AMAZING THING! I don't think human beings can really go long without getting into SOME kind of fight but just because it's fighting doesn't have to mean killing each other in some stupid war over beliefs or land right? Due to my unusual circumstances, I was unable to have but a single friend in my own country. However, what befell us was a great tragedy that brought my kingdom to ruin, for which he blamed himself. However, even when we were reunited many years into the future, I was not able to convey my true feelings, that I could not blame him, though he wished that I would.

When I was summoned many years into the future, I again had another friend, a gentle yet playful woman who treated me as a true friend. Yet she sacrificed herself to achieve the goal we both sought, and I lost my second friend.

And now, I have met another whom I cherish greatly. However, if I was to be completely forthright, I fear losing her, as well. I only bring those I love misery, and I question my judgement in this matter. I do not wish to bring her the same pain I have caused others.

That's such a nice idea! Are you really a princess? I don't think I've met very many of those, not real princesses, but just about anything is possible here. I mean, you're a pony and we didn't really have ponies that could talk at home, but you seem so nice, and I'm glad you come from a world where you can talk! But I guess that isn't really about friendship.

I don't know if I've really learnt any lessons about friendship, yet, but I was thinking about it, a little.

I was kind of really sad when I first was told our worlds were destroyed, because I was worried that all of my friends and team mates might be gone, and that thought was really upsetting, you know? Only then I figured, if I were saved, and I'm not any more important than my friends, then they're probably okay and in the pods somewhere too, right? I hope it's true, anyway, because I'd really like for them to be okay.

But now that I'm feeling a little better, I've started to make friends here, too! And I think that's helped a lot. Because even though my friends from home aren't here, that doesn't mean I have to be lonely, right? Maybe that's my lesson, actually. That I'm not really alone, and so I shouldn't feel lonely! There are a lot of really nice people on the ship, and they actually like to talk to me and are friendly. I only hope that I can keep making friends, and we can all work together.

And your sadness is most understandable. We all miss our worlds and the friends we have left behind dearly, and to be upset at that loss is only natural. But you are quite right that the finding of new friends is indeed a great comfort! We have room for many friends in our hearts, so there are always new friends to find.
