Medical Introductions!
Hello, residents and crew of the Transmigration 9! This message is mostly directed to those of us who have most recently joined us, some people that have been here longer could use a reminding of its contents. Those of you that have come in, we thank you and please bear with the repetition.
To begin, I would like to introduce myself. I am Dr. Samuel Henderson, and I am the Chief Medical Officer of this ship. I would like to welcome you all to this ship, and firstly, make myself available to everyone to answer any general questions about the ship that you may not have been able to ask on Obs deck when you first came out of the pods. I will do my best to answer them as fully as I can. We do have a couple of requirements of all crew members, no matter what the nature of your physiology. They are a complete physical evaluation, and a psychological evaluation.
There are a couple of reasons why we require these two things. While there are a lot of things the plant suits and Stacy do to keep everyone healthy, even she can't predict what could happen when we cross the immune systems of so many different races and from so many different worlds. So the more we know, the better off we'll all be.
Secondly, the reasons for the psychological evaluation are more cut-and-dry. To speak frankly, this is a war. And we need to know who has the capacity to fight, and who does not.
We do promise that all information gathered during these evaluations will be held in strictest confidence.
And lastly, if there are any among you all that has any medical training, healing ability, or would like to be trained as a field medic, come by the Medbay any time. We could always use more hands on deck.
--Dr. Samuel Henderson, Chief Medical Officer
((OOC: Hi newbies! Just an fyi, the evals can either be threaded or handwaved, depending on if there's a certain member of Medical you'd like to interact with. BUT! In either case, please fill out these forms: physical eval psych evaland post it on your character's journal. If you have some central place where you link to vital info about your character, it'd be a good idea to link it there, too.
If you'd like your character to join Medical, they can come introduce themselves, or it can be handwaved. Just let me know if you'd like your character to be included so I can add them to the wiki page (you'll have to scroll down a bit to get to the Medical section).))

I don't know what a 'vampire' is, to be blunt.

Well, the short version, and the most typical example is that a vampire is a creature that looks human, but feeds on the blood of other living things. This allows them to enjoy a conditional immortality. But we aren't really able to lead the life we could before, since we're highly sensitive to several specific things, the most common of which is sunlight.

...interesting~ I guess we're not so different. But you'll see soon enough, right~?
[I'd actually want to RP out his checkup, if only cos I can never predict wtf Caz is gonna do. So, should I wait for the weekend post? :B]
