Sokka, we've barely left home! Have we ever really had decent schooling?

Wouldn't you like to learn what other worlds have accomplished? Like WHY we're able to stay in space?

I've had all the schooling I need! I know how to navigate by the sun and stars, I can hunt, fish and track; I can fight, I know how to use a sword, I can sail a boat or use a canoe. I planned the invasion of the Fire Nation for crying out loud!

I'm not going to let them sit me down in a school room like I'm some sort of little kid. I'm an adult and a warrior of the Southern Water Tribe.

The school thing. Back in my world, a certain level of education is enforced, and I thought it was a shame to have all these kids stuck here, falling behind in their work. My wife once had something like this happen to her when she was about your age, and she had to go back to high school in her twenties. Which is pretty late for high school, so, you know. Less than ideal.

Anyway, I also watch communication on this network to make sure nobody gets out of line and co-head the Engineering department, so let me know if your omnicom ever gives you any trouble and I'll fix it up for you.

I'm glad you explained that. I keep getting the impression that the older people on this ship think we have to be protected, like we can't defend ourselves. It was one of the reasons I had reservations about doing this. Recently, I had a very annoying experience with a guy named Brainy who thinks we''re primitive, so...the school thing is something I'll do just so I'm in the know. But I understand the situation.

Oh, yeah, Brainy . . . don't be too hard on the kid. I mean, come down hard on him when he calls you primitive or backwards, because that's really offensive. The thing is, the guy is brilliant, but there's a lot he doesn't know about talking to people he's not familiar with. Especially if they're not from aaaaaaaaaawesome Colu, like he is.

That aaaaaaaaaawesome was full of sarcasm, in case that didn't come across.

Try and teach him next time he offends you to phrase his thoughts more politely. With words, preferably.
