Sorry it took me so long--we've all had a rather busy time of it lately--but I've made those pills for you. It was actually quite simple once I figured out that they were comprised of complex amino acids.

Complex amino acids? I don't really get how not taking those could get me sick and to starve... I guess I'll need to bring it up with the staff that's been helping me at medbay.

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins--not to mention they're essential for metabolism. It's very likely that you have some sort of condition that prevents you from utilizing a type of naturally-occurring amino acid, and these pills provide a sort of substitute...hmm.
