so, kick-starting a new team.

i call it "Team Have Some Freaking Fun Already". because if we DON'T have fun, we're going to crack, and that's never pretty.

we're already planning a movie night, baseball, paintball, and camping, right off the top of my head. it also may double as training stuff, or at least team-building exercises, for you srs bizness types that need the excuse.

applications to join the team and suggestions are welcome.

welcome aboard! it's a pretty easy-going team, if you want in, you're in. i'm not really picky.

dances are good! captain picard mentioned dancing too, so you're not alone in wanting them.

I can at least help with any sort of organization. Socializing events are...new, admittedly, for me to attend. Aside from dances or something of that nature.

help with organizing would be great. and hey, you're a step ahead of some of the other people on board in that you're interested in giving it a shot. some people are going to have to be "escorted" for them to participate.

the movies are going to be awesome. it's looking like kung fu for the first night, but i think we're going to kick off a long tradition of movie nights, if all goes well.

if they REALLY don't want to be there, then we can let them leave, but there are some people on board that just do not know how to let themselves relaaaaax. so extra help there would be awesome too.

There is a need for relaxation. Staying for five minutes to see if they will would hardly hurt those of the crew.

There is a way to do kung fu wrong? It seems a very....varied style. Some seemed to be exceptionally useful and other forms...not so much.

the actors doing the kung fu movies don't always know kung fu. and they do things that look cool as opposed to things they'd actually do in a fight, which makes actual martial artists mock endlessly.

exactly. so they just do something that looks cool and have the whole thing choreographed so the person who's supposed to win wins and hopefully nobody actually gets injured.

I hope it turns out more impressive than the other...pitiful scenes that there can be on a stage. Or as they seem after seeing a real fight.
