Yeah! I played the game that you're from. Called Halo. It was a little bloodier than I like them, but you were pretty badass. So these other worlds are even from video games?

War's bloody.

The explanation we were given is that there's resonance between worlds that let history in one turn to stories in others. We also have people others have recognized from books or movies.

You recognize somebody, just be polite and remember it might not be "real" to you, but that's their life.

I don' much like blood. Bad memories.

Sounds like it makes enough sense. I guess for all I know, I'm a story somewhere. No way I'm any sorta main character anywhere though.
