So. Idea. Changing the place we eat to the Sensoriums where the food tastes like actual food instead of like, y'know, slop. Who's with me?

I fail to see how that is comparable to adapting to a new taste. Humans are perfectly capable of adapting to different tastes given time. I'm certain you'll manage just fine.

And if you're a chef, why don't you try and find ways of making the existing food more to your liking without resorting to covering it up with holograms and such?

I'm capable of adapting to different tastes. But I'd get sick of stuff I actually LIKE if I could only eat one thing for who knows how long. ANd I'd rather ENJOY my food.
