Light Sensitivity
Hello, I am Queen Nanashi of Kuninoryu.
In my home we do not have nearly as much light as there is here on the ship, and as such, my eyes are aching from the excess of light.
I am aware that on this ship there are many people from various worlds. I hope that one of you might be able to suggest something that could help my situation.
Thank you greatly for your assistance.
Sincerely,
Nanashi, Queen of Kuninoryu

Droptacs are the least visible option. They fit between the eyeball and the eyelid. Only people with high manual dexterity, without claws, and who can also stand to touch their own eyes can wear them.
They're very similar to contact lenses, though the material is slightly thicker.

I am afraid I am not familiar with contact lenses either.
Though my country was advanced in technology for our world, it seems that we were still far behind many places.

They are flexible lenses, shaped like small thin-walled bowls, that fit closely to the eyes. It's difficult to see if someone is wearing one, if it's well made.
Droptacs are slightly more obvious, since the eye seems slightly darker, but it's still easier to conceal than a pair of glareshades.

I've worn both. Shades are far easier to put on and take off. Droptacs take a certain amount of getting used to - they can be irritating at first, and not everyone is comfortable with touching their eyes.
But droptacs aren't affected by wet weather, won't steam up, and allow a wider field of view.

I don't know. A certain amount of salvaged technology is present here on Stacy, of course.
