"This is Lieutenant Uhura," she said, hoping the ring would do a wide broadcast. Uhura struggled to keep her voice as level as possible. "I am requesting emergency medical attention just down the corridor from the Observation deck. There is a young man who will most likely require assistance as well. Please respond if you can hear this."

"I have been sliced across the abdomen, I think there are three wounds and they aren't life-threatening," Uhura said. There was a rustle and a soft hiss as she tried to examine them. "More importantly, I have another individual in pain, though getting near is not an option at this point--hence my own injuries. He is bleeding from, I believe, his hand."
