I'm bored, and my reader had a book of riddles in it.
A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?

Here's another one: A man was to be sentenced, and the judge told him, "You may make a statement. If it is true, I'll sentence you to four years in prison. If it is false, I'll sentence you to six years in prison." After the man made his statement, the judge decided to let him go free. What did the man say?

He said, "You'll sentence me to six years in prison."
I have joy in bringing two together, but darning my existence!
My life hangs by a thread, filled with ups, downs and resistance!
What am I?
