Okay, will of the ship in general is obvious and stupid: peace and love, even with the Ohm.

Anyone who actually cares about beating the Ohm and getting their world back, drop me a line. We're gonna have to figure out how to do it by ourselves.

I can say that I support trying to open lines of communication with the Ohm, but the way to do that is between battles. We have to fight them if they attack us or anything we can defend.

From this point of view, I can say this - you won't be helping anyone.

I don't think there's much we can do to communicate right now. It would be almost impossible to reach out without making ourselves vulnerable, so I don't want to try communicating at all until we've learned more about them.

Learning how to speak with them has more benefits than just peace though - how do their soldiers coordinate? How do they receive commands? We learn that now, fight them with it, and if we see a way to talk to them without opening ourselves up, we use it somewhere down the road.

I only wish to learn more about the Ohm, wherever finding the answers may lead us. But I believe those answers will lead us to a place where we do not have to resort to simply killing them all in turn. I am not unprepared nor unwilling to fight and protect this ship and its inhabitants until we are able to do that.

So please do not be discouraged, because our aims are not as different as you might think. My biggest hope is to restore those places that mean the most to us, and I believe it is possible to do so if we work together.

Killing them all is probably the only way to get enough mana power to write the wish for everything to get back to normal. That's how good endings work.

Who's to say they won't? You're assuming that a desire for a peaceful solution is going to completely cripple their ability to fight. I don't know anyone here terribly well yet, but I don't think they're willing to roll over and die.

I'm afraid those are terms I don't quite understand, is that a method of action your homeworld takes for such goals?

What's the peaceful solution? "Put our worlds back?" "Stop destroying everything?" "Wish the Overlord's Netherworld back?" Look, if the Ohm ever come to this ship in force, the ten seconds we spend composing a peaceful message to them is pretty much the difference between putting up a fight and dying horribly. I call that 'crippled'.

Look, really freakin' long story short, you need mana power to write a wish in the Sacred Tome. Get enough mana power, you can wish for everything to be restored. The only Overlord strong enough to write that wish can't do it right now. So someone else needs to get the mana power.

If they come to the ship, we fight. That's simple.

Do you expect this to be an uphill grind the whole way? That we'll drive through the horde and find some kind of 'core' that we destroy and take out of all them? What if we get to a point where we're just as powerful as they are, an equal - and recognized - threat? They won't have the freedom to move against us at their leisure like that.

...you're not giving them credit. I could have kicked their ass in ten easy minutes and still had time to get the waffles out of the iron before they burned. Somehow they managed to find and screw with the keystone of my Netherworld so I couldn't do that.

And besides that, there's numbers. Doesn't matter if you personally can kill 9,998 of 'em if they can throw 9,999 at you. The kind of effort it takes to get to 'we're a threat' level? Doesn't allow time for a lot of peaceful negotiation and crap. More likely they'll come take us out BEFORE then. Right now, they're holding all the cards.

We are going to feel rather foolish if we exterminate the Ohm and then discover that they carried the method of restoring all worlds only within their living minds - and with them dead, we can't do it.

In this situation, we need more knowledge in order to act.

And if we never hold enough cards, then we never negotiate with them. If an option, a one shot chance to take them all out comes up and if we miss the chance then we lose, with no time to tell them that we can do it, we have to take it. I don't like the idea of wiping out what might be a sapient species,

I'm not giving up. I want my damn body back. But the four people that got voted in are all the "peace and love and harmony" thing... except for the Vindicator, who is at least up front about her whole 'hating demons' thing. But that only matters to me and Alessa and whatever that possessing-thing was.

And hey. I expected that. 'Peace and love' for the crew always sells well as a message. I'm kinda surprised no one really cares about the whole 'get the ship on our side' thing...

Just means I can only count on the Council to oppose my plans. Just makes things that much harder.
