Sort of. Where I come from, they implant an identity chip into your brain when you're born, and the chip allows subconscious tech-communication in the case of artificial limbs or replacement organs. Substitute body parts are sort of robot-like, more techy than anything. The limb or organ gets its orders from the chip in your brain. So my leg has a mind of its own, meaning that something could interfere if it wanted to. Most of the time nothing wants to interfere, though, so it just receives from my chip. Fun, no?
