Magic Department and Everyone!

Good day, crewmembers. For those of you I have not met, my name is Aibghalien. Further, for those of you not aware, Nanoha has stepped down as the Magical Department head to better enjoy the splendor of married life, and I have assumed the position at her appointment.

Given the recent events, I wish to restate that I maintain regular open office hours and may furthermore be contacted through this medium, in reply to this message or at any time, should anyone wish to discuss department business or activity with me.

To all Magic Department members:

Infrastructure has completed the physical components of four shelters within the City. It now falls to us to provide whatever magical reinforcements or wardings we can to ensure the safety and resilience of these facilities. These shelters are essential to ensuring the survival and protection of the crew during any lockdown or incursion events; therefore, all Department members are expected to contribute in any way possible.

On a personal note, I would like to inquire of our more technically-oriented members if they have any data on the force field Stacy is capable of generating, and if recreation of such is possible.

Sounds simple enough.

As for the force field, I don't know that it's possible to get accurate data on it from inside the ship. I could create a shield of similar size and function, but if it's the information you want then you may need to ask someone with access to one of the ships sitting in the hangar.
bequiet_hescreamed: May I have this dance? (hopeful)

This sounds like very interesting research.

If Stacy were a non-living spaceship, I would expect technical readouts about the force fields to exist somewhere and probably be available to someone in Engineering. In any case, it's something I would expect Stacy to know and there's no reason why she wouldn't tell anyone. So, this might sound obvious, but have you tried asking her?

I'm just trying to exhaust all options that don't involve hopping into a metal box and being pushed out an airlock.
bequiet_hescreamed: Heh. I never laugh in canon. (I want to see (your smile))

Not necessarily. I assumed that you meant the force field that no doubt exists on the outside of the ship to protect her from collisions with transdimensional space debris. That one is probably just a scaled-up version of the ones you're thinking of, and there are plenty of reasons why statistics on it would be useful.

I can see why that might make you uncomfortable, but I doubt anyone will really give it a second thought. After all, knowing how to disrupt Stacy's force fields would not have given any advantage to those involved in the aforementioned incident. The information will be more useful in aiding tacticians in predicting whether the ship will be damaged, or in the event that a shield needs to be manually disabled to prevent someone from colliding with it and hurting themselves.
bequiet_hescreamed: Drinkin' tea, hurr a durr~ (candid photography: it can happen to YOU)

On the contrary, I think that they are far more confident in the workings of this vessel than we are. Either they believe it is simply not possible to disrupt it to any meaningful extent, or they think us too feeble-minded to do so.

I can assist with the wards if my help is needed, although I can't promise a great deal of my time. I do have my own matters to attend to.
