Regarding Haku

It's nice to see the arguing calming down, and I'm happy that everyone seems to be recovering well from the Nightmare King.

However - and I hate to be the proverbial flea under the collar - we still have a rather large problem that needs to be dealt with, in the shape of a very thoroughly possessed river spirit. From what I can tell, Haku is safely contained in the brig for the moment, but there's no telling how long that will last. I'm sure it won't surprise any of you when I say that he's not everything that he appears to be on the surface.

I'm working on developing a tailored spell to hopefully separate the corruption from his conscious mind, so he can start fighting back on his own. But I'm going to need help with this, and not just for the power requirements.

May I speak with whoever it was who wanted to discuss restoration and development plans for the City, as well?

I do too. He doesn't like me much, I don't think, but he's still a teammate.

Well, there are a lot of people on this ship that I don't necessarily like, but it wouldn't stop me from helping them if they needed it. So thank you, for being of like mind.

We all have to stick together and help each other, no matter what. That's just how it is.

Here's my plan-

Haku is a river spirit with no river. That can't do very good things for his physiology or his mental state. It rains sometimes in the City... do you think it might be possible to put some kind of river in the City? I think it might help.

In order for me to put a river though, there has to be a constant source of river. It can be done easily once we have an abundant source. I'd probably have Toph help moving the earth a little, but the water part I can handle.

Where would we get all that water though?

That's what I'm stuck on as well. With the amount of humidity here, there has to be a plentiful source of water on board - maybe we can ask Stacy if we could divert one of her pipelines?

I can pull the water out of the air fine, but that would only last so long, so the pipeline idea would be better.

Think Stacy would go for it?

Well, there's only one way to find out, and that's to ask her.

Maybe we could even set it up so that it was circular... somehow feeding back into the pipeline after it traced its course?

Well of course it'd have to be fed back into the pipeline, otherwise we'd only have water for a few days. If Stacy could give us a never ending supply of water, I'd be a happy little bender.

Oh, of course. I didn't think of that - I must be tired, still.

I can sympathize.

I haven't even really had just sleep. Everything's been short naps and looking after Aang.

Take the time to get some sleep, Katara. You won't be any use to him if you collapse when he needs you. I'm sure the medical staff can look after him.

I know they're competent and able to help him.

I just...want to be who he sees when he first wakes up.

It's a good thought, but I'm sure he knows that you care. And you should be taking care of yourself, too.

That's good advice but...he's been protecting us for a year. Some lack of sleep won't destroy me.

Well, do what you want. Just make sure you don't neglect yourself too much.

I'll keep that in mind. Besides, my teacher would skin me if I did that.
